The Freestate Meet

Well it seemed like a good idea at the time. What do you guys think about a little trip to the country side surrounded by the Maluti mountains a dam copious amount...errre......mhmh of water a hike trail at the Welbedacht Dam catchment area, and a picnic on top of the mountain looking down on the valley.

No traffic lights, taxi's, polluted air...or those annoying neighbors watering the garden half naked.
No atm's, no banks, no shops, absolute bliss if you ask me...oh don't forget the cold showers.

Accommodation for up to 20 people.

Image

I haggled with my friend for the bungalows for R100.00 a night, if less comes we will stay at the house then accommodation will be zero....it all the depends on what you guys want, the bungalows are outside of town

Food arrangements still has to be looked at...

Well as promised some pics of the living accommodation and to prove we are not a one horse town but a 3 horse town !

The mountain in the background is the elands berg another awesome spot to look down onto the valley. In winter you can clearly see the snow on it, usually if you do, it means your water pipes will be frozen till 12 am !

As you can see it is still very dry this time of year but when the rain comes that dam usually pushes up another 30 or so meters...

Nice :)
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

I'm a definite tentative. How long a drive is it to there from Bloem?

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

I am in tentatively - how is the cell phone signal? We operate 24/7 and need to be reachable. Other than that - sounds awesome.

I don't know about short people, but the rest of the guys should get a signal just fine. The signal tower is visible. But if you have problems, smoke signals should work as well.

Good luck on finding such a rock here. This area is not exactly renowned for it's large abundant rock standing formations

If you have problems with smoke signals, just scream really loud or use a message in a bottle.

Well so far so good.We need to discuss food arrangements and the likes since the cat will be around and rabbit food does not form part of my diet but we can discuss that closer to the time.

Yes - like the people today who thought I eat prawns :P I am not fussy - I just don't like to eat food that preys on other food. That includes bug eaters like cows and sheep and rabbits and chickens and fish.

Thanks Wiz - you will be the source of my nightmares. There are not many things that I fear - those silly insects are top of my list. Even zombies don't come close (probably because I have never met one).
