Cape Town PCF meet - Forries, 27th November, 13:00

Post by Ron2K »

OK, I've been in this part of the world long enough, figured it's about time I met everyone down here - if I were to use my rubbish organisational skills to get something together, who would be interested in meeting up?

(DJT, g0ldback, lancelot and ryanrich automatically added, just want to know who else...)

EDIT: Forries (52 Newlands Avenue, Newlands), 27th November, 13:00. Be there. :P

Attending

Me
lancelot
DJT (and a tag-along)
g0ldback (tentative)
Kia kaha, Kia māia, Kia manawanui.

I strongly suggest that someone acts as a backup organiser to this.

27th November, then? ;)

And my suggestions for the meet itself would be:
  • Paintball. Courtesy of office department teambuilding, I've discovered an awesome paintball arena up by Melkbosstrand, and would really like to do that again. (And come on, admit it, you'd all want the opportunity to shoot me...)
  • Karting - only place I know of is in Kenilworth.
  • Lazer Tag (Stadium On Main, Claremont)
  • Pub lunch somewhere (so far, the best I've found is Ferrymans on the Waterfront)
Post some date and activity suggestions, then we can try to come to some sort of consensus. ;)

Paintball and karting is awesome. Laserquest at Stadium on main is crud. Its tiny and narrow. The old one was AWESOME, three stories and built as a pirate ship. Loved that one. Ferrymans is also cool.
I wanna be at this one

Fixed that for you.

But seriously.

7 or 8 tears ago I would've said the Brass Bell is a good place for a meet but that has become too darn commercialised.
These days my favorite spot is the restaurant on the harbour in Gordon's Bay - else Rafiki's in Kloof Nek road.

Or the usual suspects out Blouberg way. Blue Peter's and Cubana.

In my opinion th V&A is a tourist trap that should be burnt to the water. And that includes Mitchell's. :x But maybe not Den Anker. Refer OP in Beer Thread.

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Why are you spamming boys?
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

OK, so back on topic - so far it's 27th November, and a pub lunch/dinner somewhere other than the V&A.

Who would like to be the brave soul to suggest the venue itself? :P
