So long, farewell

Post by Ron2K »

Hi all,

As of this announcement, I have formally relinquished my position as forum sysadmin. Over the past few months, priorities in my life have undergone a radical shift, and unfortunately, this forum is no longer one of them; consequently, I have recently reached the conclusion that it would be better for the forum community as a whole for me to step down and for someone else to take over my duties.

The staff at G3AR will announce who the replacement Evil Overlord is in due course.

From my side, on a personal level, I would like to thank all of you for putting up with me over the past few years (I know that I'm probably the least user-friendly person on this forum), and especially thank those who I have had close working and personal relationships with. There are some of you that I will never forget, there are none of you that I would like to forget.

I will, of course, no longer be active on this forum -- those of you who would like to remain in touch are encouraged to follow either my random blog warblings or my even more random Twitter feed.

Valar morghulis. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Well - you are only as far away as my phone. And I know that people have to move on and do other things. I will always be a Whatsapp away my friend. Besides - I will still annoy you on your forum

You did an awesome job - and I LOVE you for making my post count disappear :D

Oooh I hear Blade had applied to take over your job ;-)

Hey Ron

Well, your post took me by surprise. I wish you all the best in the future endeavours. Thank you for your input here. I know that I don't know even half of what you did and how you kept everything in line, but from what I do know, thank you.

Cheers and God bless,

Because it is his name and he should have the one he chose.

And I mean my title. As he is no longer here - he cannot bring me my shrubbery

Who would care to translate "my priorities have changed"? I would bid Ron farewell, but i doubt that he is reading this.
@Tribble: could you not courier Ron's plant to him? Like you would have flowers delivered?

We are spamming the ExMin's farewell thread, aren't we?

By definition, the core of something cannot be a facade.

At least not unlease we are dealing with genius-grade topology...maybe.

Another thing to consider would be his motives, and what he stands to gain from deceiving, capturing, or otherwise discomforting me.

No - the idea that it is a marshmallow is the façade. I am sure it is very squishy in there none the less.

And he likes people to feel unsettled....
