i'm all for a mobile version (and ron knows this), but i think if we get one, a ground rule must be implemented.

Use Operamini. And if data is an issue, turn off images. 18KB's a page and it's a damnside faster than Android Browser :|

Doesn't Opera Mini work well enough? You can set to mobile view IIRC.
You don't need mobile view.

True. I use it in normal mode on my old 9300, but he was complaining about scrolling as well, which mobile view would reduce to vertical scrolling only IIRC.

I just experienced something very interesting on one of the bike forums I visit. While posting a reply, I managed to do a double post- something which hasn't happened in a very long time. Purely accidental, of course. So the forum tells me that I've made a duplicate post and that I'll be redirected to the thread, which of course saved me from the double post.

So I dunno how difficult something like that would be to implement over here, but we could use something like that.

In the tech threads it warns you if there has been another post before your most recent one, so that helps with double posting. It's disabled in the chill section, however, which is consequently where most double posting happens. Ron could technically enable it in the chill threads, but then I'd be forced to spam his Bookface wall with lame jokes for the rest of his life.

Agreed - I would help you mousey. In the chill section it doesn't matter if someone posts before you - what is being said is often not even related to the other post anyway. And if there is a double post - there is that little edit button. I would love a delete button though

Can you please make the forum resize like it used to so that I don't have two huge empty spaces on either side of my screen and a racing stripe of content running down the middle :?:

I'm with jamin, if you have a wide screen it can be pretty annoying.

Can we maybe get a Thanks button?

Would it be possible to replace the black and white/grey stripes with a solid colour? Every time I scroll down it just feels like a flash effect on the side of the forum content.

Or maybe have the strips vertical like the top part of the forum?

The idea is to keep the forum and the main site looking alike. That said, the main site's background is solid black, so it wouldn't be a bad thing to change it. Alternatively, we could tile this smiley: :love1:

No, she left when the site was moved to international hosting - she was on local-only bandwidth or something like that.

Honestly, it's not a loss for the forum. Zana was normally high on something when posting and most of what she said was complete nonsense.

I enjoy her posts - her tracking down of space ships. Her elfish creations. If you knew what her life was like - and what has been done to her - you would understand where she is coming from a bit better

Hey, here's a good suggestion for the forum: Let's stop bashing Zana and get on with life.
