While NASA might spend millions to take snaps of the Earth, a teenager in the UK has captured stunning images of the planet by floating a second-hand camera worth 30 pounds in to space using a balloon.

To be fair, I don't think he claimed to be on par with NASA. That was the claim of some dodgy Indian news site.

I suppose you could call a whip a "pointy, flexible stick with some wrap-around" if you like. :)

i can tell you've never met the business end of a stick trimmed from a mulberry tree... :lol: thin, whippy and quite capable of producing bleeding welts if wielded with sufficient skill...

I'm old enough to have been the subject of corporal punishment, specifically at school, though nothing close to what is possible. I have heard some horror stories though from when the police (directly from coppers at a police station during a class visit, along with other punishments/totures) still handed out corporal punishments, specifically to our darker skinned brothers.
