Starfox 64 3D - 3DS

Post by StarBound »

Ladies and gentle men with 3DS take2 (takealot) has just added Starfox 64 3D to their list for september releases.

For those that don't know, Starfox started its roots back in the days of the snes and was one of the first games to use the super-FX chip found on later snes games. The game ran slow and was locked at 15fps. Still saying polygons was new at the time.

With the N64 the game was reinvented and released as Starfox 64 and as Lylat Wars for europe. This also happened to be the time of the starwars trilogy. The game consisted of 6 stages played to the end but split into "hard" and "easy" missions. Getting the hard missions often involved fancy flying thru hoops, warps, killing enemy waves before they take out the battlefleet or hitting track switches and letting the enemy boss ram his own ammo depot.

Whatever the case if your a long time fan of the series or a new comer with a 3DS and lack of games then this is the one to get. As Peppy would say ...Do a barrel roll!

And as I forgot about the link:

Pretty sure BTGames and the rest will follow soon but if your one that uses take2 then there are your links.

*Shameless advertising I know but this game deserves it :P

Gametrailers review is out:

So its not the game to own for your 3DS and time has run it coarse. The game is good, not great. The SA release date is slated from this coming friday so we will have to wait and see. But I think the demand might outshine the supply of the game.

Starbound, I here that there are some video issues when it comes to plaing DS games on the 3DS: The games look worse than they do on the DS apparently. Have you experienced this?

I bought 2 DS games namely Chrono Trigger and Sonic Classic Collection. Yes there are issues. The screen is smaller so the 3DS doesn't seem to render everything and your screen looks to cut you off at some points. The other is, and not sure if this is just a conversion issue on the game itself or the 3DS, but the sonic special stages are bugged to hell.
