Is that a statement or a question?
If it´s a statement please elaborate. If itś a question you need to get cable made up with a crossover config.
Then connect the PS3 to the back of the PC via the ethernet cable.
Install DHCP service and set it up on your PC (Google for it)

Now you need to share your internet connection using your PC.

This should easily share the internet with your PS3 but it´s a ball ache.
Soon Google will know everything...including how to divide by zero :(

Connecting through your PC:
PC -
1. Go to your network settings
2. Give your TCP/IP a set IP address eg 192.168.0.1 and subnet 255.255.255.0
3. Select the connection you wish to share, right click, sharing, enable shared connection
PS3 -
1. System XMB select networking and enable it
2. Give your ps3 a set IP or let it auto assign
3. Auto aquire or select a gateway (the IP you gave your pc with its subnet)
4. Follow your PSN signup prompts

Alternatively if you have dsl and a router then:
Wired -
1. Plug in the network cables in your ps3 ethernet port and router/hub/switch then follow the ps3 steps above.
Wireless -
1. Select Networking
2. Pick wireless network
3. Auto aquire your network and network settings then follow the steps prompted for PSN.

Sorry to hijack... but I tried to add the PS3 wireless-ly... Because of the security settings I have in place on my router, I had to put in the PS3's MAC address before setting it up... and then weirdest thing happened... My router gave me an error saying "Invalid MAC Address"... Has anyone else run into this issue?

*I have since just used the wired connection, so this is more just to see if there was something else I could have done... barring removing the security*
