Yup, the original models in 2007 had 4 USB ports which was much better. Blah.

Good news for those who have been following the game. It has been released this past month in Japan and America (and other parts of the world) was left with no release date. But here it comes for america. And remember, PS3 is region free so we can import jp/us/eu titles and it will work on any system.

*EDIT* sad news is that it is rumoured. If it is true then

Indeed.

Resistance 3, feels like a generic shooter but not an CoD clone. You have health packs, full weapon slots and upgradable weapons with alt fire.

Killzone 3 is your standard CoD/military shooter clone.

Goldeneye Reloaded should be avoided at any and all cost. What worked on lower specced hardware doesn't translate into anything good on a system that can handle games better.

MW3 sucks on pc and is by far the worst game in the entire series.

BF3 has decent multiplayer on pc but I have barely touched the single player.

F3AR is anything but scary.

Duke Nukem Forever sux.

Haven't played it but if Battlefield 3 is any indication that it can be done then I suppose 128 players would be chaotic. Even more so when you take into account the PS3 hardware limitations. I'd maybe say stay away and go for some of the more familiar titles.

Sadly its either BF3 or MW3 at this point.

A projector doesn't need a screen unless you mean you bought a 63" white sheet to put the picture on.

Well the PS3 is one of those systems that has gems all over the place. So let's make a list of titles you could try.

Catherine - Puzzle game with anime style vids in between. Don't know between the story and puzzle which is more dominant but no puzzle solve = no story seen.

Deus Ex Human Revolution - Hands down one of the best FPS games from last year. Stealth or action, your choice.

Metal Gear Solid 4 / MGS HD collection - Not an FPS game but it is an action game with stealth elements. The HD collection brings the PS2 games into PS3 territory with higher frame rate although textures are still slightly lower detail but does not look bad.

Uncharted 3/Trilogy - U3 is the best in the series and is basicly a cross over between tomb raider treasure hunting but the game is much heavier in the action and cover shooting department. The trilogy should be releasing this month so if you hold on you can get all 3.

Skyrim - If it was PC there is no question but the performance of the PS3 version is questionable and many online sources claims it is a mess. But if you love running around doing your own thing and sometimes completing a given quest you can't go wrong.

Just Cause 2 - Love the game on PC. This is how good an open world gets. Run around, steal a car, drive over people, get the army after you, steal a gunship, shoot things, make things explode, ect ect ect.

If you have uncapped then maybe buy a year sub for PSN+. They are giving you 10 free games this month until your sub expires. So if you have R500 to spend you will get your monies worth over the next 12 months with all the PSN+ freebies.
