Big update guys. Been working my butt off. The site is almost done. One or two things i still need to do, iron a few things out, but it's almost done.

I've posted a full description on all my mods, as well as links to my sponsors and the first modding guide is up. That guide is a more detailed version of the one that will appear in the August PCFormat.

Have a look and let me know what you think so far please :D

Dae ja voo. Your led mod guide is good, but you need to specify the LED voltages, as well as the resistor values. Saying you need 2 resistors in parallel and one in series is completely arbitrary - you could just as well use one resistor if it had the desired resistance! Rather say, 'because I only had resistors with value X, I connected 2 in parallel and 1 in series to achieve the desired resistance Y'.

I actually went and found out ALL the exact specs of the resistors and LEDs that i used, and it IS in the guide moses ;)

1K resistors, 3.5V LEDs.

Oh, I saw it now! Yeah, good enough. I suppose your guide is aimed at the layman, but it probably wouldn't hurt to mention that a single 1.5k resistor would also do the trick!

LOL!! How am i supposed to know that!? :P

Are you sure about that though? Can i add that to the guide?

Yeah! That combination you used is equivalent to a single 1.5k resistor. Test it with a multimeter! Measure across the whole section, should be 1.5k. Two 3k resistors in parallel would also be equivalent to a single 1.5k resistor.

Theory:

two resistors (X and Y) in series are added like this:

X + Y (eg. 3 + 3 = 6)

two resistors (X and Y) in parallel are added like this:

1/(1/X + 1/Y) eg. 1/(1/3 + 1/3) = 1.5

Yup, it is 1.5K ;)

What moses is trying to say is this:

And then after you added the values to your right you swop the top value with the bottom one to get R

Thanks Moses, i'll add it now. Check again in 5 minutes :P

Hey dudes!

Just thought I'd let you know - my website has undergone a complete upgrade! I've spent a lot of time on this update, so please do check it out.

I decided to go with an upgrade now, as modding is really, really taking off for me. I'm doing big projects (NAG) and I've been offered even bigger sponsors now (Dremel), so I really feel like an upgrade is necessary.

Please go ahead and visit the site and let me know what you think. I'd love it if you guys could test some stuff for me too. Post some comments, link to facebook/twitter, etc, let me know if everything is working fine :)

Some of the pictures on your camera are blurry, maybe check the lens for oily spots. Is it a canon or sony ericsson?

Do sony ericsson make SLRs?

Anyway, yeah, the Depth of Field is intentional. The aperture on the first Atari shoot was way too open though, I know.

I don't understand why people find depth of field so appealing. It ruins the pictures but thats my opinion. Anyway, good luck with you web site
