i wanted to find out whether there's a different login in page for e website thats separate from the forum? 'Coz i login in on the forum but when i comment on the site it still asks me to put a name and email, and it doesn't show my avatar

Nope, the main website and forum accounts aren't linked at present -- though, it's something that I should really take a look at sometime. (It's mostly dependent on the estimated time/effort to forum bitching ratio.)

(In fact, you can't create a permanent account on the main website at present, which is probably why you're experiencing your particular problem. I'll have a chat to the magazine guys, but they probably have reasons for this -- keep in mind that I have no responsibility or obligation with respect to the main site.)

i just bought and paid for tapatalk. i find it very useful as i can subscribe to new forums that i never new about before.

Tapatalk is well worth the money spent so far, even if I only frequent 5 forums.

You don't, afaik. If you have a profile pic linked to Gmail or Gravatar it'll probably show up; otherwise I'm not sure you'll get anything showing.
