2010 PCF Forum Awards - nominations now open

Post by Ron2K »

As promised earlier - nominations for this year's awards are now open. ;)

A recap of how it works: you drop any mod or admin a PM with your nominations for any category (do not post them in this thread!). You can nominate for some or all of the categories; you can nominate as many people as you like per category. Once nominations close, the polls will go up for public vote, containing the top 5 nominees per category (may be more if there's a tie in number of nominations, or less if there were fewer than 5 people nominated). Nominations will close at 12:00 forum time (UTC+2) on Friday, 15 October; the polls will go up on Monday, 18 October and run for a week.

The category list for this year was thoughtfully provided by our resident Rat. :P

THREAD/POST AWARDS
  • Best Thread Award (specific thread to be named, please!)
  • Sense of Humour Failure Award (specific post to be cited, please!)
  • SHUT-UP Award (for the best comeback - specific post to be cited, please!)
(For these awards, the thread/post in question must have been made after November 1, 2009.)

STAFF AWARDS
  • Friendliest Mod/Admin Award
  • Scariest Mod/Admin Award
MEMBER AWARDS
  • Outstanding Contributor Award (for the all-round, general high quality poster)
  • Forum Genius Award
  • Most Helpful Member Award
  • Best Newbie Award
  • Most Improved Member Award
  • Forum Rebel Award (for the most incorrigible member)
  • Least Intelligible Member Award
  • Forum Jester Award
  • Forum Pedant Award (for the biggest grammar nazi)
  • Thread Derailer Award
  • Friendliest Person Award
  • Scariest Person Award
  • Forum Flirt Award
  • Forum Deathmatch Fighters (the two members you'd like to see head-to-head in a Fight Club style thread)
  • Forum Love-in Partners (the two members you think should get a room)
Kia kaha, Kia māia, Kia manawanui.

Anaknha huns, NO-ONE but StonedIce should get Least Intelligible Member Award
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

I do not want one title - let alone more than one. There is a time for multiple .... things - this is not one of them. Titles make people notice you - I don't need anything else to make people notice me.

its the prerogative of the leadership of this forum to add any title we deemed (without the democratic vote of the forum but just by Decree of the Lounge) to any said member we deemed need an additional title, and in any colour we deemed fit.
