ASUS sponsors MSSA's eSports LANS and Interschool league

Post by MSSA »

MSSA (Mind Sports South Africa) and ASUS South Africa have just finalised a sponsorship agreement which believed will take eSports gaming in South Africa to new heights.

ASUS is a world leading computer hardware manufacturer and is renowned for its R&D (Research and Development). ASUS quality and innovative products won 3,268 awards globally in 2009. ASUS’ flagship ROG (Republic of Gamers) series of graphic cards, motherboards, and notebooks are the most recognised amongst gamers around the world.

MSSA is an affiliate of the SASCOC (South African Confederation of Sport and Olympic Committee) and the National Federation of eSports.

The sponsorship agreement ensures that ASUS is the headline sponsor of all of MSSA’s Provincial and National Championships for 2010, as well as MSSA’s 2010 Interschool league.

Through the sponsorship, MSSA is able to extend its provincial LAN championships to more provinces, also to initiate the first official eSports interschool league in South Africa.

The inter school league is an exciting development which aims to nurture new local talents and improve the awareness of eSports as an officially accredited sport in South Africa.
