Will definitely be a good way to work on the thing ;)

EDIT: Will you have the figurine in the corner? Won't that block the motherboards mounting?

Thats what i did today. tom i grind or file it away. and do the other side.

I also cut off the bits on the bottom inside that are meant to keep the cover in place. Now the cover fits on nicely :)

One Rotary file and 1 ordinary file

some places still need a bit more filing, or to be filed. And yes, the paint looks weird cos i rubbed it with sand paper while neatening the edges. But that paint is coming off anyway

Sorrry the third pic is not as clear :(

Tuesday i'm taking a trip to Greenside mica to buy myself a dremel chuck and a box of cutting accesories.

I don't think you'll get very good cooling if the slats are angled like that. What fans are in the chassis?

No thanks, stuart.

Well the psu has a 120mm fan which draws the hot air from the cpu and ram and nb up and out the case and in the process new air enters the case; and then the other side because the gpu cuts the case in two, has 2 fans on the top that will blow air down, rather than up because otherwise the gpu may end up in a low pressure zone. And i'll add a third fan to that.

There is also a fan over the hard drives. But the drives block the air flow quite substantially so it hardly makes a difference.

Right, so after a trip to buy some dremel accessories, including a pack of various cutting disks, a dremel chuck and 2 rotary cutters (a conical rotary file and an endmill ) it was back to the modding:

Holes are now both cut and cleaned and straight. And although its not in the pic, i have begun rubbing the case down for priming

Dude, please do a sketchup of that, will make it a whole lot easier.

Also, I'm not sure how much pulling power the PSU fans have, as the air has to move through all of the PSU components/wiring...wouldn't count on that one doing all that much cooling.
