Pretty much something like that, my case has been open for a long time! Any ideas on how to hide the cables? The new PSU will help but I wanna take it to the next level

yeah hide ur toes

Also try using cable sleeve :P

Image

*try and get the see through one*

Even with current sleeving on u can wrap this arround it and it will keep ur cables together..

Should be about R20 for 3 metres

The site has been updated. Did a few changes under the hardware page. Its fully up to date and I should be adding more features and info about the mod and whats all actually laying on my desk. Check out the News section for more info.

Happy reading

AT LAST!!! Got enough cash together and some donations for passing my matric. I picked up my new PSU yesterday. Im very happy with it so far. Really quiet and doesnt seem to get too hot :D

Here's a proper update, Im going to try got on a DJV like shopping trip to the hardware store and get myself some goodies!

Image
Nice shiny new box

Image
All the contents

Image
What a awesome finish! Super shiny, chrome looking black polished look...

Image
Details

Image
And look, now the hippies wont drop my PC out the window, its PFC (whatever that its  and its a green product, like a tree... but acts like a PSU...kind of) Sorry, serious lack of sleep!

Image
My old "setup" PSU out, opened and wires everywhere

Image
The state of my old Codegen 480W PSU

Image
Then I ripped its guts out. Probably gonna keep it as a test PSU, just cant close it. Doesnt work then

Image
This is the best thing about this PSU, you only have to plug the cables in that you want. In my case: 2x SATA & 5x 4-pin power connectors. The 24-pin and 4-pin connectors dont plug in because, obviously, every PC needs those. Not going to be using the 2x PCI-e connectors....yet :D

Image
All plugged in and ready to go

Image
Installed :bigups:

Image
Dont know if you can see so well in the pic, but theres a LED at the back of the PSU telling you whether its on or off

Image
Now that the PSU was installed and going, I could play around with a few more things. Installed a 80mm TriCool in the front, to help with HDD cooling

Image
And another 80mm TriCool at the back as one of the exhaust fans. The other one will be the Red 120mm fan thats going on the roof

Image
For the first time in a while my case is closed up and looking normal again

Image
Got to show off the light effects :D

More updates coming soon, hope you guys enjoyed this one

Your order has been processed and verified. It will be sent to our courier on Monday for delivery. You will be advised with your tracking information as soon as it is available to us.
Delivery was supposed to happen on Friday and arrive today. I mailed Sybaritic today and my parcel was taken to courier so hopefully tomorrow I'll be installing the bits I ordered

Melikes that PSU. Good choice, Dude. Now that this head ache is out of the way, you might be able to focus on other things you'd like to change :)

Update time!
Its not that much, only got a few more things to do and remod and then it will be finished!

Image
Look what I found on my bed when I got home!

Image
My ViZo Panel

Image
And two more Antec TriCools

Image
Played with cables for ages. Wasnt that fun but I eventually got them all plugged in

Image
Installed the front Panel in the bottom 5.25" bay
Image

Image
And mounted the two 80mm fans on the perspex window

Image
With all the CCFL's and fans going

Sorry about the quality of the first couple of pics, I took them at night and my camera isnt that great. Will hopefully do another update soon!

Heres what I still have to do:

Sleeve MasterPanel Cables
Remod side panel
Make 2x80mm fan grilles
Cut 114mm hole in chassis roof - install 120mm red LED fan + grille

Hey Silv3rback - How is that Vizo control panel working for you? I think I need to get myself one of them but would like your comments on it first.

It hasnt given any problems for me! The only issue I had with it was installing it, there are so many cables that need to be plugged into the unit and then the mobo and they arent marked, which makes things kinda difficult! If you wanna get one I'd be happy to recommend it!, Just dont get confused with the USB and 1394 ports

Thanx Silver! I ordered one now, so I will just try and mark the cables myself BEFORE I install the thing. Its gonna save me alot with my custom cube I am building!
