Realy nice! Just one problem which you might have noticed already...the cover is hiding half of the rear exhaust aperture, and this will make installing a fan in that spot a bit tricky.
I know that most of the air is going through the top, so would you be closing that up?

You are making the idea of mobo covers much more attractive to me.

I saw that aswell, and I thought of making a shroud to go over the fan. But decided against it

ROFL! Awww, don't be a hater :P

So being home today I decided I'm going to start working on a new cover. Cause the old one looked bad

And here she is :D

Image

The diffirences really is only the depth, as you can see here

Image

Image

Compared to what it was

Image

Looks like there's enough space

Top cover on after I had to do some extra cutting

I still need to clean up the edges, as they look like the sea. But I think I might use some C-Strip as in the pics just to make me feel a bit less exploitable :P

Thanks guys

Wik -- looking at the case at the moment, I would say that the mobo cover was better when it was bigger. Even though you will be wcing most of the components, the mobo still gets some heat on it. Having the back fan hole open, there would be some airflow going around underneath your cover...

Also, the older cover looks a bit smoother, this one looks like it has been raped by a hammer, not just hit...

Still darn excellent though...

I'm thinking that smaller was better since the big one took up nearly every bit of space left in the case. I have a plan to fix my mobo cooling, so that's not a problem. And yeah, this cover has been abused, and I think I will be remaking it out of perspex instead. Or try to level it out first, that is definately not the final piece. The hammer marks are on the top side and at the radiator yes? That still has to get rebent and fixed, I just wanted to check if it fits.

But thanks for your constructive critism :D I appreciate it

Okay guys, this has jumped to life again, but with a few twists:

1.) I need a new name, Carbon Fibre isn't part of the theme anymore
2.) I did a bit of work on the one side panel today, hope you guys like it thus far
3.) I need vinyl printers in PTA, anyone know any one?
4.) I'm thinking of going white inside, thoughts?

Here goes the pics:

I dropped in at fablab today, made this:

I know that some of the lines are skew, the heat of the laser got to it, but it will be fixed ;)

The panel how it was a few months ago (some more planning was made on it)

The things I cut on the panel

Explanation: This panel is a mission to cut properly, so I thought, who cares, all I do is made a nice border thing to hide it. So that's what I did, that needs to be colour changed, to what I do not know. So while drawing in su I thought, hey, lets make the panel interesting, so I made the bottom piece thing, which will act as something that looks cool, but also as ventilation for the hard drives and powersupply in the bottom of the case. What I'm planning for the black thing, is mesh behind the lines, and some colourful lighted up perspex behind the sign (don't ask me what it means). Any ideas for a colour to use? I don't even know what colour I want to have all my accents in the case :( Help?

Cut out (ignore the tape)

Dude, that looks freaking BRILLIANT.

Edit, o ya, remember the whole black / white thing? Why not get some plexi sand blasted for behind the logo thing?

That is looking really cool. Like that grill you made.

Go black outside but white inside. And use ice white leds inside.
