I have to agree. That grill looks fantastic! Will you have the led's static or will you make them flash or something?

Picture time!!! :D

The case so far

Image

Time to reveal my plan for the mobo cover :D Quite obviously it will be longer to cover the whole thing. And painted. Matt black, or maybe some other colour.

Image

Going to have to cut and wiggle it a bit to make it go under the radiator

Image

Image

I quickly hopped on the bike and got some screws aswell today

Image

Image

As you can see they are nice allen cap screws, maybe I should polish them *rubs chin*

Image

Image

And the cover out of the case

Image

Image

Image

Basically the case so far, excuse the dust *i wonder how that got there, lol*

Image

Image

Back to my grilles :D

That's it for now, must get a bigger sheet of aluminium and make the panel, properly :P Then cut some holes in it, add some GREEEN :D yarr, I'm so hyped

Nice! looks good!... I like the mobo cover idea, but i dont like the finish, maybe if you are getting new aluminium, you could brush it for that "brushed" look otherwise polish it for that super shiny aluminium we all like! lol...

Nice radgrill!

Nice man, very nice.

My guess is he just bent the aluminium over a small pipe (looks about a 40-50mm diameter) to get a nice even and straight bend.

If you read, and didn't look at the pics only :P you'd have seen that I will paint the panel.

But thanks for the comment

You're going to need a crowbar to detach me from that case if someone tries to "take" it :P

I can't wait to finish this case, and it all goes well I might even be able to take it to rAge this year :D

No ways, you've been cheating. Bending alu like that by hand is pure modding hax. Where did you get them? Modh4x.com? :P

Great great work Bertus :D

Can you say ALUMINIUM?!

Image

To show you size of the sheet, I left my bike in the background :P

Image

Some basic tools needed for this next task

Image

Drawing some straight lines

Image

Image

Now, the surprise, a scissor? :\

Image

Yup, I cut the alu with a pair of good ol' scissors

Image

After a while I decided, screw this, and whipped out the dremel

Image

Rough cut made

Image

Then, my all secretive bending jig

Image

I just clamp it on to the edge of this table, easy as 1 2 3

Image

Then the cover test fitted, some adjustments still needed

Image

Image

Image

Lots of space left inside

Image

Thats it for now, happy modding Image
