The Hard Drive On Wheels?

Post by Chermobil »

Hey Everyone

I remember that some guys here on PCFormat used to pass a hard drive around the country filling/adding their collective anime for everyone to share. Do you guys stil do it?

 I'm really bored at the moment(I live in Pretoria) and was hoping to get my hands on something interesting to watch, tired of the SABC.

So I Would appreciate if you could point me to the right topic

Cheers

AFAIK that has been stopped. Although I am sure there are people who wouldn't mind you popping in to their place with a HDD and getting some anime from them.

I don't mind, just I haven't downloaded any anime for a month or 2 now. Also I stay in JHB.

I'd be interested in circulating a hdd, we can all chip in and get it going.

it was a great idea when it was running but circumstances made it bit difficult to keep it organised... (well not really as it was quite easy to maintain)

well I just recently sent shinji a 1TB that he posted to me which I then filled with anime that he requested since he has limited internet... he would pay ie for the drive and shipment to me (ofc) and then when I sent it back, we would make an exchange where he sent me some goodies from SA and then I pay for the shipping back...

git him stuff like all the Dragonball stuff in HQ, all One Piece up till that time, NGE + movies and more...

I think I might do the same; buy an external hdd and circulate it for people to fill with anime. On the way back to me it can make a few stops, as long as those people pay for the postage. I'll be low on cash for the next two months at least, so it's not going to happen now.

Great!

Two points of advice.

- Keep it off PCF. Amongst other factors, you can play by your rules.
- Keep it as an invite only group. Rather have a few trustworthy and worthwhile members, whether they are givers or takers, than basket of egotistic farts.

agree with ZeroS, cause that point 1 is kinda why we ended it.

huh? think you misunderstood.

we were actually part of the 1st drive and we managed it quite well.

we are simply stating that due to certain PCF members' feelings towards anime and relation to piracy, we decided to rather stop it and if some1 wanted something we would rather go the private route instead of everybody here knowing.

trust me, I for one would have still continued as I am sure ZeroS as well, but it wasn't worth the bickering of said members members.

Quoted. For emphasis.

We meant no offense, guys.
