Seeing as he didn't during the series that shows he came back some time during the 1-year gap.

EDIT: I see your point, but there's no mistake that it was Renton and Eureka Thurston. I knida doubt Axel would Adopt his grandsons girlfriend
Quote the next sentense after that one.

I have no idea what you mean with your edit though.

Renton wanted time alone with Eureka because in all 50 episodes they never had any. He planned that in advance with a promise to return. Like I told you, Axel is looking at a family register, not a mariage cettificate. It indeed lists them and husband and wife yes, but that in no way means they came back prior for a wedding ceremony.

Only saying anyways, interpret as you wish of course.

'Seeing Renton and Eureka close at the end implied their coming back now.' -That's where I saw your point

I never said it was a Marriage Certificate, only that the register showed they're married -_-

And yes, I know there's nothing 'factual' to say they came back during that 1-year gap. I simply started Axels statement and the fact they're in the register implied they came back.

Everythings cool, sorry if I stood on your toes -I just only found out what Axel was reading now and that completed the ending for me.

Not at all man. Like I said I was just saying as well. Don't take me so seriously.

It was a good show. That's something I'm sure we can both agree on. Anemone turned out well for me, I liked her scenes.

Kinda felt Anemone went from all out dark to light personality to quickly. But I'd like to see the fan subbed E7.

I might get a lot of flak for this but I think animax blows. Too many shows that arent as good as I'd hope it would be. Apart from gundam, Eureka 7 and sorty rei I dont like the shows that much. Black jack looks crap but for some reason I am watching it.

Actually Star, we will add more flak :)

AnimaX is a serious let down... We hope it could have maybe just been the setup phase and that it will get better, but that might only be wishful thinking...

Yeah and just like Eureka her head aches suddenly vanish. I started reading the manga -which gives some insight into certain parts of the show despite beign an Alternate story. But it does go far darker then the show did and after awhile I was wondering if the manga people hate Eureka.

Yeah, Animax is a let down, but at least they get 1-2 new shows each month (which is better than most channels on DSTV), though I wish they'd remove Twilight and Ajuna now. I remember I complained to DSTV about Scifi and Cartoon Network years ago and for both I got the exact same reply, something along the lines of 'We've noted your concern but repeats are apart of how DSTV works' or something.

Still haven't watched the whole of Bassilisk, so the repeats are actually helping me there, but so far I've missed every episode of Wolfs Rain. Black Jack looks retarded, but it actually very well done despite the insane medical concept.

Strangely they still haven't sorted out the time table, for some reason the day starts at 6pm, which means the weekday cycle is tuesday to Saturday and the weekend cycle is Sunday to Monday.

I wouldn't call it a total failure -I mean, the fact there's still stuff to see after 6 months should be taken as a good sign.

Firstly it looks like Animax will be moved from channel 111 to channel 126.
Secondly a couple of new series are said to air in May, they include Angelic Layer; Final Fantasy: Unlimited and probably best of all Elfen Lied and Gantz: The Second Stage

All the new titles seem to be ADV titles which is okay I guess

yeah, but although I haven't had a look at it, I don't think the English dub on Elfen would really appeal so much to those of us who have seen it in original...

True but I think for people just getting into anime the transition from the “tamer/friendlier titles” to something like Elfen Lied is well served by watching it in English.
But regardless of the whole language issue I hope people like it

Elfen Lied in English...

I don't have the boxset but I purchased all four Vectors and in the estimated two years I've had it I've not once been desperate enough to watch it in English. ADV really did Elfen wrong with an emotionless cast. And not only that, scenes have been altered to adapt to their vision of it.

Elfen I hold in high regard and I appreciate it being shown on Animax and all but no, I cannot recommend the English dub.

EDIT :

To each his own I guess...
The series has received praise for its story and technical excellence in production quality, animation and color.[10][11][12][13]Due to the many scenes of nudity and gore in the series, it has drawn criticism as being "overly blatant".[14] or "sad and forced"[15] The boldness of the first seven minutes of the first episode have deterred some viewers and caused controversy as to its release. The first four episodes are liberally scattered with horror and fanservice, often taking the form of bloody violence and random nudity and sexual innuendo.

Despite employing experienced voice actors for both the English and Japanese voice casts, such as Mamiko Noto and Kira Vincent-Davis, the series drew criticism for having sub-par voice acting across the series in the English dub, as well as in the first few episodes on the Japanese voice-overs.[11] Another criticism is that the series ends abruptly with some loose ends to the story that could leave viewers unsatisfied.[16]

Despite these criticisms, Western reviewers also describe the series as "really a genuinely good watch",[14] "a horror series of exceptional merit",[16] "certainly memorable"[10] and "a very special show, good and bad parts taken into consideration".[17] Anime News Network's members rated gave the series an average of 8.43 out of 10 ("Excellent") from 3983 votes, making it the fifty-seventh best anime listed in its database and the ninth most popular as of February 2008.[18] In the 2004 AnimeReactor Community Awards, fans voted the Elfen Lied anime as the Best Opening/Ending Combination, Best Drama, Best Thriller (Mystery/Horror), Best Fanservice and also voted Lucy/Nyu as Best Female Character.[19] Also at the first annual American Anime Awards 2007 at New York Comic-Con, Elfen Lied was nominated for "Best Short Series".

I’m sorry but when you say “scenes have been altered to adapt to their vision of it” are you referring to the changes they (ADV) made with the dialogue/subtitles?

Yes.

We spoke about it somewhere here a while ago too. I think Nuke also noticed it.

For example, just taken the first two episodes, in the first when Kouhta notices Nyu's horns he gets a flashback of a little Lucy from his childhood calling him liar and goes into shock. That scene has been cut and it was a very important scene at that. During the later episodes these things were explained but ADV simply cut it completely.

The second episode where Lucy stood over Bando torturing him she spoke complete rubbish, untrue to the original dialoque.

Btw this gonna be shown uncut? Even the US Adult Swim banned it from broadcast. Another network showed it but cut Mayu's child rape scene.

Yeah...child rape, pointless nudity and over the top gore and violence, really what anime is all about -_- (Sorry, but from the descriptions given it sounds more like some sort of extreme porn show)

What's the story like? Because for me -sex, nudity and gore doesn't automatically make a show better.

*edit: Went searching, looks like a really bizarre show -tons of nudity and graphic violence (this probably means decapitation and or people being torn to shreds while we watch) but supposedly balanced by being overloaded with Cuteness, Romance and Comedy in the style of Chobits. Say, wha-!?

There's no sex in Elfen Lied, there's really no time for any.

You'll see full-frontal nudity yes. You'll see underage nudity yes. You'll see characters ripped appart in very gory detail yes.

You might feel shocked. You might feel angry. You might laugh and you might cry.

It's been a while but, I can't actually sum it up briefly. Elfen Lied's really a whole lot of genres mixed into one.

It's not for minor viewers, it's most certainly not for sensetive viewers and it's not for your average narutard.

That said Elfen Lied, four years after watching it, remans my favorite anime and most certainly one of the best I've thus seen, and I've seen quite a bit since.

However, it's not for everybody and like I mentioned, the English dub is horrid, to such a point that it makes me mad watching it.

In any case I searched to see if this will be uncut on Animax and I could not find anything. Chances are it will be, ADV did not censor it but, I cannot speak for Animax, yet anyway.

Will see.

It starts on the 3rd of May and the picture Animax has shows a cute young girl covered in blood with a decaptitated body in the background - interesting. I'll watch it, of course, I just hope the violence has some baring on the story and isn't just there for pointless shock value.

Anyway remember Gants: The first stage, starts tonight and is only on Sat and Sun

I've set the tape for Gantz, Black Jack and Bassilisk (which I keep missing).

At the end of the thirteen episodes you will completely understand Elfen's excessive brutality so worry not. You will learn the very good reason for all of it.

It's nudity and violence does not carry it's plot and it's most definately not awarded it's merit because of it. It's sad tale is what makes Elfen Lied, Elfen Lied.

Turn off the light and turn up the sound. Elfen's a visually stunning anime with one of the deepest and best sounding soundtracks and overall immersive ahmospheres to date.

I'm extremely biased towards Elfen though so don't take my word for it. Watch it and then decide for yourself.

Damn looks like Gantz is uncut; foul language, gore and nudity. What more can one ask for.

I was just commenting on what everyone else had said about it, I'm still going to watch it (Plus no one had mentioned Gantz). My tape machine failed for some reason after Bassilisk so I missed Gantz and Black Jack :(

Luckyily is doesn't seem in ONLY be on Sat and Sun and I can catch it tonight. I've only read the Synopsis for Gantz -where people who die are copied and made to play a deathmatch game against Aliens.

I think I’ve figured out the Animax schedule. Gantz episode 1 aired on Saturday, episode 2 on Sunday, next Saturday episode 3, the day after that episode 4 will air and so it will continue for 12 weeks. Tonight Monday evening episode 1 will air, tomorrow evening episode2 and so on till Friday when episode 5 will be aired. Next Monday Animax will continue with episode 6.This means that programs follow two cycles one for weekends and one for weekdays, it also explains why upon its initial launch episodes appeared not to be aired in chorological order.

Didn't we figure that out 6 months ago?

The Gantz advert just stated Sat and Sun so I assumed Only then, which was wrong.

Gantz is definitely strange. I also find it strange the first thing that happens when the girl appears is main guy kisses her then the Yakuza guy tries to rape her. Main guys childhood friend is now my hero, for being the hero :)
