Is it just me or has anime really died down? Maybe it's just because there's no more otaku forum or magazine to keep me up to date or excited about new anime.

K-on was a bit fail for me. Too cliche.

I'm now watching Busou Renkin, Genshiken and Kiba. Loving Genshiken and Kiba a lot. WIth Busou I need to keep reminding myself why I'm watching it.

I just watched Busou Renkin. It almost had the perfect ending. Almost. The anime was also quite good. It's very similar to Bleach in many ways. Individual character designs are brilliant.
It was a slow start where nothing exciting really happened but after a certain episode it was going really fast. I would recommend it to any Bleach fans.

As for wolverine anime. I haven't seen it yet. Ever since the first Live action X-men movie I have started to really dislike anything X-men.

i have too many that i'm currently watching. how about the ones that i'm particularly enjoying?shinryaku! ika musume - how can you not love a show about a girl with tentacles as her hair, vomiting squid ink, working at a seaside cafe and trying to take over the world?kuragehime - must be a sea theme. this reminds me of otaku no musume-san, except it's not about a daughter, but a cross-dressing bishounen.mm! - fine, it's about a masochistic high schooler trying to change his ways, but it can be quite cute and sweet at moments.and a sentimental pick from my old collection for a re-watch - dennou coil - go watch it if you haven't.

Okay, if you are expeting wolverine as in xmen, you probly going to be dissapointed....
dont get me wrong, i really enjoyed it, but its just the wolverine character (his abilities and so on) but not really the xmen story. Scott summers does make an apearance in the xmen jet. but that is pretty much the only thing about the xmen. my best advice would be to give it a try yourself.

Got the x-men anime, so still have to give that a try.

Just finished watching Vampire Knight. it started off very slow untill around episode 6. only then did it really start to interest me (its more a chick anime, but good none the less). it picked up speed more to the end. the last 3 eps i couldnt stop watching. still have to watch season 2 though.

Your name, Decent, still feels a bit rushed.

Some thing I noticed what I watched over the last few days, endings in some of these movies end quite abruptly so that the viewer can draw their own conclussion. It is kinda weird, and takes some time to get use to, stories never seem to quite tie up every thing in a nice little bow, they just leave you to your own interpretation of what follows.I think you either love or hate it.Esclaflowne did that as well as your name kinda just leave you hanging, and you just kinda go no are you serious ? lol

Definitely seen enough of this type.Definitely going hunting for some SciFi and action now.

For good Sci-Fi cherck out Elfen Leid

Definitly recommend Neon genesis Evangelion.
If you are a purist you will watch the series and the 3 movies.
Fair warning the series ends abruptly and angered most people who watched it. The movies are a sort of condensed retelling that fix the end and explain a few loose plot ends from the series, so just look out for those if you can.

Also, for more fantasy/horror try Berserk. Watch the anime from the 90's I linked, NOT the CGI one from recently!
There are also 3 movies which like Evangelion are a condensed retelling of the story

Claymore is also very good.

Thanks
What I got last night

Highschool of the dead
Black butler ( Looked at stuff that is similar, not all of it appealed to me, prison school, daily lives of high school boys.Prison school looked funny but totally stupid and trying too hard)
Vampire Hunter D blood lust movie
Time of eve
A few other I can't remember.

Horror wise I will stick to live action, Japanese horror is way too wacky for me.

Tales from the Loop. Sci-fi series on Amazon. Slow-paced, but mesmerising. Great acting.

Children who chase lost voices.

Really well crafted story, another one that leaves you to do your own interpretation of the ending. Definitely gets a recommend from me, in you like the fantasy setting. Actually watching quite a bit of anime, as there isn't any thing much else worth watching right now and pretty much watched what I wanted, will be a while with the virus before new shows get released.
Have a good 30 years worth of anime to catch up with lol.

Have a couple more stuff to view, definitely found a style and themes I like.

Real pity about highschool of the dead was awesome.

Lol murder princess. Pretty awesome.

okko's inn. Decent, but lacks that some special.

black butler. Seriously whack, and funny. Fav series so far.Wonder if it was intensionally made to be a dark comedy. The butler's house keepers are freaking daft.
