Dual OS

Post by the_nominator »

I know its possible but I don't know how to do it.
My old PC has Widows 98 and XP and u just choose the one u want on startup.
Now I wanna do this with XP and Geexbox and (if I can get it) Mandreke 10.
How do I do this?

I am assuming you have already installed the two OS on seperate partitions. All thats left to do then is to open up your boot.ini in notepad, and you should see a string that points to your WINXP installation. Now all you have to do, is enter one for the Geexbox (or the linux) in the same syntax...

Do a search for it... Think it is in one of your Windows folders, not sure...

Windows search should find it... Just set it to find hidden and system files too...

If ur looking 4 it using windows xp, u can right click on my computer, go to the advanced tab and under the "Startup and recovery" heading click settings then click edit! It will open the boot.ini file 4 u! ;)
