DAZ Studio 4 Pro, Bryce 7 Pro and Hexagon 2.5 are available via download only on DAZ3D.com between now and February 29, 2012 for free.

The download is eligible for upgrade pricing on current and future versions of each respective product, a potential savings of hundreds of dollars.

The Standard DAZ 30-Day refund policy will be honored. If you have purchased any of the products named above or any of the "stand-alone" plugins included in DAZ Studio 4 Pro in the last 30 days, you may contact DAZ Sales Support and request a refund.

If software was celebrities, these would be B listers (Michael Ironside, Bruce Campbell). Good for a laugh / cameo, but you don't want to cast them in Schindler's list.

pfft.. maybe not maya/max but certainly not to be sneezed at...

for a nooblet looking to knock out simple logo animations or static renders it's a far better option than the time they'd have to sink into something like blender, or the massive financial investment in packages like maya...

your post implied it was more of a toy than a productive tool - which it's not-unimpressive user base and longevity would call a rank misrepresentation... for rapid development it's actually quite good... maybe not as feature rich but why use the rube goldberg approach on every project?

I said B lister, not fluffer.... :)

Certainly I would not recommend these tools for anything professional.
