Ya hell I give up with P Divvy. Changes I would make to Saturdays announced team:

1. Beast
2. Bismarck
14. Hougaard

The rest are good.

Their record speaks for itself. I enjoy their running, just as I appreciate the Aussie backline in full cry.

On their day, France can be breathtaking too-and the South Sea Islanders are always entertaining.

I have grown tired of the hoary crash, bash and kick game that the Springboks have been playing, just as I am feeling disillusioned over the state of rugby development in this country. Where do all of those promising youngsters go after school?

Hey....nobody said I had to be rational about this. :-P

I do for basically the same reasons. I've always loved their style of play, but when I lived in NZ in 2008 the support and team was absolutely awesome and I properly supported them since.

Still enjoy watching all the Bok games, and party with my friends after a win. This year it's gonna be a black tie party though. :D

Well I can't point any fingers at any one player for bad performances.....however the off loading to Lambie at times were idiotic....as most of the times the defensive line was right on him, would have been better to take the ball to ground and regroup, there was enough support....

Also JP should replace Habana, and bring in Hougaard in the first half...

I know I know almost nothing of the sport, and it was an awesome and exiting game, but is it normal to drop/fumble the ball that often? Our team I mean?

JP was awesome to watch (and the Red boots were a master touch!)

We did lose control at the very end - very scrappy and messy rugby just before the whistle.

Not to be overly critical, but while 26 missed tackles meant nothing against Fiji today I suspect it will NOT mean nothing against, say, the All Blacks later in the competition.

knock on? Well if it was done because of passing a bad ball, yeah fine.10 odd knock on's wasn't bad didn't occur at critical times, line outs or close to scoring, so you can't be over critical on handling errors...Their handling was good when it needed to be, which was 99% percent of the game.

Even their ball placement in rugs was excellent, you can't falter them...just one or two things like the back line perhaps a little flat and at times off side, and perhaps the full back not being where he is suppose to be at the back, defensive you come forward, attacking you move back a little, a kicking team would have found plenty of open ground, if say Fuji had a little more depth their tactics could have kicked into no mans land at times, there were only 2 players at back...that is a rather weak defense, you usually have 3, full back in the middle and wings at the sides.
Bleh !

Oh Odwa ndegane, didn't play badly either, we have some good wing replacements... :D

Meh....let's put this into perspective and look at Fiji's position in the world rankings.

When the All Blacks beat Fiji 60-14 earlier this year, it was their lowest score against the Fijians in 5 matches,
and Richie McCaw was not p;eased with their performance.

Fiji may like to run with the ball, but it looks as though their defence may be suspect.

Match of the weekend tomorrow: Wales versus Samoa.

Go Samoa!

What happened to the Wallabies today? Ireland rained on their parade.

So I heard on the radio this morning they said something about one of our players being fined for a kick that ended in a try, Heinrich Brussow I think it was (speaking under heavy correction here). What is that all about? :?

It was just a fun in-team fine given because he kicked the ball instead of passing it.
Heinrich Brüssow was indeed given the usual fun fine for a forward kicking the ball after the Springboks’ 49-3 victory over Fiji, backline coach willy Muir said on Sunday.

But.....I thought that kicking the ball away was part of the Bok game-plan, or does that rule only apply to Morne Steyn :-P

Scoreline notwithstanding, we have a lot of things to worry about.
