I like big stuff. BIG sets of stairs, big gaps, etc. And the one trick i love, is a kickflip. I can do so many better tricks, but a kickflip is just so NICE!! lol, if a gap or stairs is really big, it's easier for me to kickflip than to ollie!!

DAE_JA_VOO wrote:Hey guys, here are 2 video clips of me skating.

The first one is a kickflip i did down 8 stairs in a competion a few months ago (400K)

The second one is an entire run i did in a comp four and a half years ago! I won that comp :D

It's a big file though, like 9MB, but trust me, it's worth it.

Let me know what you think.

To rip the file off YOUTUBE, use.....

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2584/

Enjoy  ... I do hope ur a firefox user!?

There are other plugins... THis one saves the file in .flv format! U then need to convert it into Avi or MPEG with a converter...

to convert the downloaded .flv file, I use SUPER by Erightsoft, its a 25MB download, but can covert any video file format into any video file format... including 3gp, mp4 or Mp3!

link for SUPER.... http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

the other tool VideoDownloader also requires firefox! So Sorry!
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php

Maybe u should see what add-ons mozilla offers for downloading embedded Videos!

I'm Not ashamed to say..that in the past two weeks, i ripped over 1GB's worth of .flv Music Vids from Youtube.com!

A .flv file is 10 times smaller than it's .vob brother! Now thats alot of music vids!

Even if i HAD a googlebar i wouldn't use it. They probably excluded it from my update SPECIFICALLY coz they knew DAE wouldn't use it. n00b. :P

Well if you can read html, then you can just view the source code of the page of the video you want to download, and get the URL from there. Thing is, YouTube changes their code about once a week so that automatic video downloaders dont work properly anymore, so you'll have some difficulty identifying the correct URL to download.

Yip. Flash Video (FLV) has some pretty destructive algorithms and gets videos down to pretty tiny sizes.

Yea. VideoDownloader is exactly what I'm talking about. Didn't work last week, but it's up and running again now after being updated. :D

Okay, i went to the skatepark yesterday and had my first proper skat in 10 months. Man it was awesome. Here's a little run i tried. It consists of two very basic tricks, a Full Cab and a 360 Flip. I fell in the first clip, but landed the second one.

Number one

Number Two

Sorry, but that's darn hilarious :P

Also, LOL @ this thread. Reminds me of the other one that was started - something along the lines of "i can skate better than dae".
