Hman, are you going to make it custom? That frame is a great platform for a cafe racer

I'm going the streetfighter route with this one. I'm thinking about raising the rear a little bit.

The current frame that I bought the bike with was chopped and could be easily converted to a cafe racer. Which I will build up in the future and sell when completed

Update:

Engine is in the bike, I redid the wiring (just need to connect the headlamp and indicators and run a wire to the rear for when I get a new solenoid for the starter).

Handle bars, controls and speedometer is fitted. Seat and tailpiece will go on tomorrow if I get them. I might get a different bar and instrument cluster as well.

Then I have to bleed the brakes and adjust the clutch and she's done.

PS, here's a bad quality pic of the engine after paint removal.

So close!

Wiring done, bled the brakes and put the tank on. (Using the old one for now.) Tonight I'll fit the rear sprocket, tailpiece and seat, if everything goes to plan.

Now I'd like some suggestions from you guys, I want to repaint the tank that came with the frame, what color do you suggest?

Lol, if the sprockets were a straight swap it'd be waiting only for the tailpiece and taillight.

I pushed hard on the bike, my back, legs and arms are still a bit sore.

Man, the worst pain for me is the inner thigh from squatting all the time. I've recently pulled a little 3 legged camping chair into the garage to help prevent that.

AAARGH!

Got the sprocket back from the machine shop, went home happy as a clam, assemble wheel.... what's this..... dammit, chain too short! So now I have to modify the swingarm so the wheel can go forward a little bit.

Nie in Nelspruit nie... :P
Gee jou rede om in Pta te kom kuier. Of bestel die ding by 'n shop hier en laat hulle dit aflewer, maar dit gaan so bietjie kos, ek dink.

En bietjie tyd vat, tyd wat ek nie het nie. Die bike is my daaglikse vervoer, so spoed is ongelukkig 'n faktor.

Daai dae het hulle geglo hulle het moerse groot kettings nodig :P

So, the bike is up and running, but I had to use the old seat and taillamp because I still haven't received the stuff that goes with the frame. If the guy doesn't deliver I'll have to pay him a visit.....

Then I'll have to use the 520 I've got lying there :P

Only kidding though, I don't like bestowing my violence upon people, I'll just take what I paid for and leave.
