Matric Dances...
OK guys - I don't know if this is th right forum for this topic, but this is aimed at those youngsters out there who just do not know how to go about choosing there partner for one of their most important events in their high school career. I decided to create this topic to get help from those older people (*no offence*). I suppose I could have just done a Google search - but I wanna hear it from actual people - here and now, you know. I don't want to get advice from some random love doctor all the way in Hawaii... So please - youngsters need TIPS - I, for starters, am one of them.
This is for everybody else - not just me...
Thanking you!

Re: Matric Dances...
I'm not sure I understand your question...
You need help with regards to how to choose your partner?
If I'm understanding right, it's easy:
2 things:
1) Find a girl that's actually your friend. The last thing you want is to spend the night making awkward conversation.
2) A girl that knows how to behave like a girl. The last thing you want is to be "that guy who had the date that was so drunk she was falling all over the place".
3) Have fun.

Re: Matric Dances...
Awww, C'mon dude. You must have a few girls or at least one you would go with.
Just keep in mind if you're scared of asking, it doesn't have to be romantic. Just a partner to go with, as friends.
If you have trouble choosing, ask your friends that are going. Surely they have a sister or their dates friend or cousin. Girls are everywhere these days. The conversation will go something like, "My friend doesn't know many girls and was wondering if you don't know someone that you could hook them up with." There's no real danger in that plus it's nice when you and a friend have dates that know each other and get along. You'll meet beforehand for arrangements and so that they can see you don't have a date because you're shy, not because you're a retard.
So one way is to let someone else organize your date. Mine was organized like that and turned out awesome. We even went out for a while after that.

Re: Matric Dances...
I agreed to meet three guy friends at the farewell and we hung out together. So technically we didn't have dates but we weren't alone either. We even co-ordinated our colours so we didn't stand out as being singles. You need to know that we were (are) all geeks, so the chance of having a real date was slim.
It is a special night and you really don't want to spend the night being so nervous that you don't enjoy it. It has to be a girl that you feel comfortable with. Not everyone is dating in matric but the pressure to find the "perfect" partner is great. It is your night - spend it with people you like.
