These are some higher grade questions - you are right to be worried. I'd say put the exam off and spend the next month swatting.

I would be sweating bullets if I had an exam of this calibre coming up.

Oh noes! Not higher grade! :run4hills:

Maybe I should have, but I would not have thought that you would have had any problem
with the questions that were asked. Just a hunch I have.
Maybe it was better over with as I did yesterday.
I thought that both 4.7 and 8.5Gb discs were DVDs.
I have another assignment to do now. The second exam is in August.

I get that but StarPheonix has a long and illustrious history of underestimating himself and selling himself short.
I understand we all start somewhere, but you should be starting on the ground floor, not the lower basement.

The problem with negative marking is that in essence you lose 2 points if you get -1 for every wrong answer. If you leave it blank you get 0, so you lose 1 mark for all practical reasons.

Trust me when I say negative marking has the potential to completely ruin your marks. Especially if you're a gambler like me :P

There may have been method to this madness:
The point of this exercise was never to learn End-User Computing as an end in itself, but to determine how I might react to a moderate [compared to what my colleagues have done] study regimen [2hours or so a day on this module]
I thought it better to establish now what is entailed in attempting even one module [and then mutiplying it by 4] than to be so silly as to tackle a number of modules worth of unfamiliar work. [As I did when I left school...]

I have no idea. I'm not certain what I CAN do and should do, [above and beyond what I have been doing for the last 11 years] and don't seem to react well to falling on my face. Experience has taught me that following what one supposes to be one's interests is not always a good idea.

I hope that I can find it within myself to forgive myself for taking my thread off topic:

What would you say is the best way of finding out what computer-related career options, specifically those with minimal human interaction,
entail? Google?

I may as well read about what is available and see whether there is anything that tickles my fancy more than "administration".
There may be possibilities out there that I do not know of...though they would have to be fairly low-pressure jobs.

hugglez!
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

I got 88% for my final assignment. The results came three months after I submitted it, which meant that I could not see where the lecturers had failed to appreciate the use of Excel in the real world and thus notify them as to where they had erred. Unacceptable!

Some of the content in the textbook is a little iffy.

I have started preparing for my final exam, though my heart is not in it. It has become tedious, and I'd rather be learning something new. Like algebra. Or PHP.

I am sorely tempted to wing it. After all, if the sample papers are anything to go by....

Bwahahahahah @ the puppy

They come in little tablets too that you let dissolve under your tongue.

They do nothing for me but help my hubby tremendously. He worries and gets anxious easily. They do help him relax a tiny bit - no drugged side effects
A just published scientific study conducted by researchers at the University of Miami School of Nursing in conjunction with The Sirkin Creative Living Center (SCLC) has found that Rescue Remedy™, an all-natural remedy created from flower essences, is an effective over-the-counter stress reliever with a comparable effect to traditional pharmaceutical drugs yet without any of the known adverse side effects, including addiction.

@Puppy -= you should know that Birdie doesn't drink alcohol.

Friends take it to quiet their minds when they cannot get to sleep. Just one little tablet lets those thoughts, that go around and around in you head, lose their power over you so that you can sleep. I don't have that problem thankfully - I can sleep anywhere - anytime.

See....If I know that something is difficult, and that I have been struggling to understand it, I am less likely to be blasé about an upcoming exam. Yes, I am still going through my work, but I probably less worried about whether I pass or fail than I have been for any exam.

let's analyse this damning evidence at once! the truth has come to light!

Sirkin Creative Living Center == flowerhealing == mystical snake-oil.

hmm...

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com == habit of punting any content going and about as relevant as pea soup is to sun spots, (even less so given the overwhelming evidence that exists for both pea soup and sun-spots).

hmmmm.....

Complementary Health Practice Review == homeopathy smokescreen set up to give snake-oil salesman the appearance of legitimacy... a dumping ground for all those scammers looking to point at an issue and make the claim "we've been published!". no. just no. you can't be "peer reviewed" by "peers" who are as much woo-artists as you are... they're not now, never have been, nor ever will be qualified medical practitioners.

don't know why, but i'm having difficulty buying the interpretation of the output from this "study"...

rescue remedy is as much a farce as those tinfoil sport bands... don't push the woo and expect to be hugged... :P

i got reminded the other day that discovery health, who will demand to see your rotting corpse before coughing up a single bent cent, are quite happily paying these shysters under the "unlimited" cap... seriously makes me wonder whether the chumps are winning... :|

What I have learned by taking this course has been not so much computer-related as that there is nothing that is worth the time and effort of worrying about. One does what one can for that which one can control and shrugs off the rest - if it isn't lethal. :P

What, me worry?
