No. If I coulda transitioned at 12 ... sigh. I did manage to do so fairly young though.

PS. Would appreciate it if y'all could avoid using she-male or tranny. They're kinda on a par with calling black people k* or n*.

I guess those terms would be pretty offensive.

So I changed the name of the thread.

I didn't know shemale was a derogatory term.

I see it used so often in porn... who knew porn was derogatory.... my eyes are really being opened today!!!

It sad to see the amout of people either being disgusted or attacking TG people. To tell the truth I haven't head any other response when its being mentiond either at home or work. My sister still can't/dont want to understand the diffrence between TG and gay.

I guess because of that its sometimes easier to stay the gender your body was born in, not everyone is lucky enough to have understandding people around.

I think the main issue for a person who is different from the "Western moral norm", is to come to terms with who they really are, who they want to be, and then to accept themselves. Anyone that is different will have the snares of society to dodge, but once you have found yourself and is comfortable in your own skin, you can actually change other people's perceptions of you. Not if you whine and nag and moan and cry and have the oh-woe-is-me attitude.

Perhaps the intolerance and irritation of others (i hesitate to call them "normal") are created during the process of someone trying to become one with their own sexuality, their own moral belief system, their own spirituality. That process often creates havoc, and in a public space where such a person is searching, the havoc and uncertainty they experience spill over to the others involve, who do not want to be part of that process, and often can be callous.

Its such a sad world we live in where dislike can turn to hate, and intolerance can break an already fragile peace.
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Problem is we are getting brainwashed since before we can walk. Think of the amount of time you hear "boys don't do that/wear that".

To change other people's perceptions of youself also don't work against religious 'fanatics'. They are so focus one what they 'know is true' you can't tell them anyting. Eg. I'm still waiting for a reason from the bible why being a lesbian is wrong. I had that debate with my parents many years ago, the only thing that they came up with was men with men.

The name also bothered be a bit, but I guess the internet makes you less sensitive to things like that.

I think to an extent that is true - society does impose very strict ideas of what a boy is supposed to be like and what a girl is supposed to be like.

However, I also believe that there are certain things that boys are naturally more inclined to than girls, and vice versa. Females evolved to be mothers to mammal offspring (who need much more care than any other type of baby animals) and to build a strong, functional tribe, so they are naturally more empathic and cooperative, while males evolved as hunters and are naturally more aggressive and competitive. The problem is that society takes those tendencies and turn them into laws - "since most boys are like X, all boys must be like X" ... and so anybody that doesn't fit that pattern gets picked out. The other problem of course is that males, having achieved a dominant position in society when humans started settling down and farming, have devalued females. Interestingly, when we were still nomadic hunter-gatherers, the opposite was true - group cohesion was much more important, or at least, competition within the group was less desirable and even damaging, and so females were generally more highly placed or there was equality in the group.

Eh, i'm sorry, what?!

The lie has but only begun once that person makes that DECISION (key word - DECISION, as you so clearly pointed out).

If you're born with a willy, you're meant to have a willy. If you're born without one, you're not meant to have one. Simple as that.

That's just my 2c of course. I'm not going to run around bashing every transexual i meet. Your choice is yours, and yours alone.

EDIT: And this **** about the male species being in danger is also a load of nonsense. With people like Jamin out there, the male species can never be in danger.
Shalom there I thaught I add my responce here.
First all Mina is right about the scientific evidence that the male part of humanity is on the decline, and This is old news actualy and i see a doccy long ago where the human species might end up resembling that of the Heyhena(sorry i dont feel like looking up the spelling) . These animals officialy have three genders, and so does humanity if you like it or not but human society only seems to accept two.

being born with a willy and a female brain, does not necessarly make you "male" but you are close to intersexed gender hybrid. I have done a write up on my website about this, which is bassically all the facts i discovered in life doccies and experience etc... put into short. then where are cases where people born with two genders and the one gets reomoved during birth on descision of the parents, later in life as the child grows they feel comfortable to there "brain gender". And they not living the lie and later in life the truth accicidently comes out from the parents who still deney it ...

here are the links from my website:

I don't know... Having a sex change op makes about as much sense (and is about as natural to me) as an op to change your skin pigment. You are born the way you are born, and no amount of surgery will be able to make you into a genuine female, and completely hide your true identity.

Whats even more confusing to me are transexuals who insist they are not gay. I am sorry but that is just a set up for mysery, because I do not know of any single male heteroselxual (apart from Jamin) who would chose a transexual over a real female.

The magical day has finally arrived :!:
www.thesun.co.uk wrote:Teen sex swap girl talks

German Kim Petras was born Tim but wanted to be a woman from the age of two.

The op – carried out in secret last month – was authorised after psychologists confirmed that Kim was "without doubt a girl in a boy's body".

Kim has become the youngest person in the world to have a full sex change operation after undergoing hormone therapy since the age of 12.

Now aged 16, she said: "I was asked if I feel like a woman now - but the truth is I have always felt like a woman - I just ended up in the wrong body.

"I can enjoy swimming, and bikinis, go in the changing rooms without a problem, everything has changed because of this operation. I just can't wait to put on my favourite bathing suit and go swimming like I've never done before.

"I had to wait until my 16th birthday but once that was past I was able legally to have the operation."

Dr Bernd Meyenburg, who treats patients with identity disorders at the University of Frankfurt Hospital, said: "Very few youth psychiatrists have any experience with transsexual developments. The families wander from one psychiatrist to the next.

"I was always against such operations on children so young but after seeing how happy one of my patients was and how well adjusted after returning from having the operation abroad while still a teenager - I realised that in some cases it is the right decision.

"Kim is such a case - she always knew what she wanted."

Kim overcame years of taunts and bullying to achieve her dream of becoming a girl and already has a modelling career behind her and launched a CD of music to critical acclaim.
