Where did all the geeks go?!

Post by thEnaileDonE »

OK, this is off-topic to be sure but I still feel I would like to post this in the section which it touches on...

Where have all the GNU/Linux/BSD/*nix users/hacks/fans go to? This section is so silent...?

Guess I can start by repoppulating here a bit, there is more than enough news and other interesting things happening in the free software/open source world... so, just because I can (and have already taken the screen-shots):

In celebrating the release of KDE 4.6 not so long ago...

You "celebrated" the release of yet another graphical desktop environment for Unix workstations?

Yes I do, why... you don't?

And while you are trying to be clever KDE isn't "yet another" graphical desktop environment, it is merely an update, and a minor one at that :P

The actual point of the thread was to ask the question about the dormant state of this part of the forum... then again you know this and your just living up to your avatar...

? Neil Oosthuizen... and sure, I do find Girl Talk a nice change in pace to my normal play list...

No, I don't currently use Ubuntu One because I am on Kubuntu and a proper client is still forth coming... besides dropbox is just fine...

edit: Did my OP state something wrong to warrant this reply btw?
