Cannot update Ubuntu 10.10 from WA ftp server

Post by StarPhoenix »

I recently edited my sources.list file to point to the Ubuntu repository at /pub/ubuntuarchive/maverick on Web Africa's ftp server. [It falls under their FreeZone] All well and good until I tried to do an update and
update manager reported that such an action would require the installation of
untrusted packages. Have any of you encountered something like this recently,
and if so, how did you render the file in WA's Ubuntu repository trustworthy?

Heya StarPhoenix,

Long time bud! Hope you still all well and work is treating you well :)
On the WA repository side, we've simply setup a mirror on our server - like other repo's do too. You'll get untrusted packages if you've selected untrusted Ubuntu packages and files, like third party applications.

What package is the untrusted "error" coming up on?

Hello Jeff

Long time indeed!

I'll have a look at the list of packages at home and get back to you on that.
Please pm me with an email address I can send any screenshots I may need to take.

Thanks
