Passmark Performance Test

Post by Slimshaedy »

Howzit guys has anyone here tried passmark to bench your system? For those of you who don't know it gives you a system score and test everything even your dvd rom. I just started using it today. You can get your system score then save it and share your system specs and score with everyone else by downloading their *.pt file.

So I've included a link to download passmark HERE
A link to download my baseline score to install onto your system to compare, over HERE
And finally a screenshot of the score summary below

Image

You can check my sig below for my system specs. Except that the cpu was at 4.8 Ghz and the gpu at 1000/1250
[i7 2600K @ 4.6 ghz 1.35V] [Asus P8P67 Deluxe] [G-Skill RipjawsX 2x2GB DDR3 1600 CL6 (6-8-6-24) 1.5V]
[Sapphire Radeon 6870 @ 975/1200 1.2V] [Coolermaster V6 GT] [WD Caviar Black 640GB SATA3 6Gbps]
[Samsung SA350 23" LED] [NZXT Phantom White] [Corsair TX750W V2] [Zalman RS6F-USB 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones] My rig and benchmarks

Ya dude I'm not sure either. The 560 is better than the 6870 in every other bench so that makes me wonder how accurate passmark is?

Only clocked the graphics card from 775/4000MHz to 850/4200MHz, the rest still at default. Wondering how sensitive this test is to processes running in the background :?:

Sorry about the large pic...

Passmark might have a CPU limitation resulting in the lower or higher performances. I see these coincide with your cpu scores.

Not sure bro but cant be that sensitive...

So what u saying is that my cpu is bottlenecking my gpu perfromance? i scored higher than pilgrim in cpu score but his gpu still scored higher than mine.... i cant see an i7 950 being a bottleneck for 1 gtx560... or am i misinturpreting what u saying?

I must actually try a test with a lower clock and see what I score because its saying I'm running the test at stock 3.4ghz. And says I have a multiplier of 34 etc. The cpu scores look correct to me but I'll have a look just for interests sake

Jelly and I were comparing speeds last nite using sis sandra. We have the exact same hdd but they scored differently. And we compared memory cache and discovered that my cpu has more bandwidth per second than his,but his cpu had a faster speed factor.

Sorry I compared you scores to that of Slimshaedy.

I think it just not that a good graphics benchmark. It also does not have crossfire compatability.

Did a run on my system and the 3D score was 2500'ish.

@jwilkens. Ya I saw that it wasn't crossfire/sli comptible but still doesn't explain that bad scores. But as u said its not a good graphics benchmark...

@icepick awesome score man! Also can't wait To run it on my pentium 4!:D
