Nvidia 163.75 vs Nvidia 169.09 (Update of 175.16)

Post by StoneIce »

Hi guys. I run a test on Smartfps.

The Beta driver runs faster on games.
Example:
Nvidia 163.75
Image
>>> Resolution: 1280x1024 (60Hz) <<<
1468 frames rendered in 11.4 seconds = 128.9 fps
>>> Benchmark duration: 73 seconds <<<

Now with the Beta Driver: Nice try...
Nvidia 169.09
Image
>>> Resolution: 1280x1024 (60Hz) <<<
1468 frames rendered in 10.3 seconds = 142.4 fps
>>> Benchmark duration: 73 seconds <<<

Normally i don't trust beta drivers. But this Beta Driver is much better on FPS

I always use Beta's. Of course it will offer better performance. It's been a habit to release tweaked Beta's for major games after their release a while now.

And the 175's been out since mid May btw.

There's nothing wrong with beta drivers. The only difference between them and the whql ones are they haven't gone through the microsoft certification process.

I only use the beta drivers.
