NVIDIA 8800 Ultra with Intel Core 2 Du

Post by solo »

OK time to see how the NVIDIA 8800 Ultra performs with a "normal" CPU.

Needless to say it is a bit under-powered

Setup:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
MSI P965 Platinum
2 GIGS Team Xtreem DDR2-800 at 4-4-4-12
1000GIG Hitachi SATAII
Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1000WATT

The card ..... the Point Of View NVIDIA 8800 Ultra.

Hehe. You can visit if you down here for sure. Just as long as you know you going home with nothing more than you came with

The card is not mine though. Although I really want one now. I will look at getting one a bit later though. First I'm saving for something that will really make you drool .... and it's not PC related .... although you could plug your PC into it if you wanted

So Home Theatre sound system or the likes then? Or a huge tv screen?

EDIT - Knowing you, if it was a TV it would be a Drive in sized, if it was a sound system it would be a "CocaCola Truck" sized audio system...

What is the dimentions of your wanted 'purchase'?

You are right!!

The GTX suppose to be around 10500 Stock and the Ultra 11500 Stock.

And the e6600 should defnitely score more than the x2 6000+.

My score is just under 10,500. I actually thought it was a bit low. The scores in PCF are higher.

Yep Yep!!! True.

Mystical_Titan Scored roughly the same with the AMD x2 6000+

Mystical_Titan your scores seemed a little low because all our scores in the 3D Mark Thread are when our PCs were Overclocked.

Yeah, I guessed as much, 'cause I went onto FutureMark's website and looked at some scores and my score seemed on par.
