Nice one R3D, the power of Fermi and an insanely clocked i7! 8)

Great clocks for that Inno3D, is that also on DICE? Mine doesn't wanna go higher than 870 on water, even with the voltage at full... :(

My word, just an awesome sample then I guess. Cos even with my voltage at 1.138 it doesn't wanna go higher than 870...

Ive tested Three 480's and all of them managed to do over 900 on the core, the best one was an Asus managing 930mhz through vantage

Killer byte

Try disabling Ht and running at a higher clock (4.1ghz HT on VS 4.3ghz HT off)

good idea. will try that now.

Just got 28666 :)

lets see if disabling HT will allow me to push the BCLK

X27 multi with VTT at 1.45v and IOH at 1.22 and VCORE at 1.44v should net you 4.4ghz WITH ht if you have good cooling.

Lets take a quick look at my fairly OK bench results for a mainstream PC vs these mammoth scores:
KALSTER wrote:My new system with CPU @ 3GHz and RAM at 1432mhz CL9. Not too bad for the price?

That's less than HALF Killerbyte's score of 28872. Do you get more than double the performance as well?

PS: Those images are more than 1920 pixels wide (my monitor). What monitor do you have?

Well I've about hit my limit for 2006. I can get a run in at 4.4GHz with HT disabled but it's still around 28,600 or so...

You take this round KB! Let me know if you wanna give Vantage (PhysX enabled) or Heaven with extreme tesselation a try... :P

Okay we can do that but let me just get a GTX480 for review then I will bench with that.
We both know that the GTX480 will smoke the HD5970 in tessellation.

As with Vantange, after my reformat and a slight tweaking in the bios, I now have finally breached 20K in my score:

but here too, I guess it's a reasonable score considering an ageing motherboard and processor
Asus Crosshair II Formula
AMD Phenom II X4 940 (at 3600 MHz [240MHz x 15])
OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500/1066/Reaper HPC Edition/Dual Channel (4 x 2GIG)
ASUS EAH5970
Creative Audigy 2ZS Platinum Pro
Antec P180 & TruePower Quattro 1200W

Got my sandy on over the weekend. used a Zalman waterblock, fishtank pump and a bucket of ice water. 22deg load temp

2500k 5.15ghz Gainward 275GTX 720core 1380memory

24622

http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2 ... 4622_marks

I think theres a issues with this board cause the 2600k maxed out at the same clock. tried voltage all over the place from 1.45 to 1.65 it stayed at 5.15 for max clock.

sadly I don't have a decent SB board at the office but tomorrow I will be posting a score using a Core i7-975 clocked to around 4.4GHz with TWO AMD Radeon HD 6990s

a sandy on even the crappest board at 5ghz will decimate that 975. I mean look at the CPU score that the 2500k got at only 5.15ghz.

Would you mind terribly testing the 975 vs the sandy at the same clock?
