going for 200bclk over 133?

Push it to the max but make sure that you keep it cool!

going for 200bclk over 133?

Post by StarBound »

I've already spoken to MT on getting my RAM working at 2000mhz and so far I've "overclocked" it to 1600mhz which already showed an improvement. Now I need to know something and I want more peoples opinions on this.

I want to try running my base clock at 200mhz and then set my cpu multiplier to 14 so I still get the 2.8ghz of my cpu. The current bclk is 133. What are the risks of changing the base clock? Should the system be stable? Or am I looking at another chernobyl?

You should be good with that bclk and multi. Can't see why you can't get it working unless your memory does not handle it which is unlikely from what you have installed.

Do I need to mess around with voltage at current or since its not an "overclock" just stick with the current settings and change the clock speeds?

My guess would be that you will need to fiddle with voltages as the CPU will probably need more. Hmm thinking about it you are actually increasing the base clock for everything in your pc so it would effect the voltages of your memory as well.
