id get the cpu cooler first and clock ur cpu(is it a 2500 straight or the k version).... a gpu upgrade will prob require a psu upgrade so would work out pricey.....

and just checked my cpu cooler and u right ill try dismantle it tomorrow and see whats involved.... if i can just screw a 120mm fan to it will be so simple!!! thanks for Checking that out for me..... ill also have a look on zalmans site to see if i they offer replacement fans... nno point having a red and black mobo red and black gpu's then blue fans.... i need to go red... and slim will prob invest in my blue fans so will work out well

Least I could do, you've helped me a ton.

It's the 2400. Runs little slower than the 2500 and is very limited to overclocking ability. Actually considering to sell it and get a 2500K (the beauty of hindsight). From what I've read it won't get much more than 3.5/3.6GHz with four cores active. Can apparently go to about 3.8/3.9GHz if you only use one core. (Not to sure about this)

According to those PSU calculators I should be able to run my current pc with SLI on my PSU. Are the recommendations they give for idle speed, full load or somewhere in the middle?

it does meet min power requirements for Sli just worried about overclocking the cpu, and both gpu's and how much more the overclocked components might draw.... but you right tho they should be fine....

would def get a k version cpu (the 2600k is awesome but im sure u did u research and saw its 1k more than a 2500k)
so the 2500k would be the best option if u arent willing to spend that amount of cash.... but i rate will be hard to sell a 5400....
u would get a huge perfomance boost when the 2500k is oc'd

id also recommend u put an intake fan on ur side panel to force air between ur gpu's when u go sli.... but trust me that side fan is like a dust sucker of note! in the process of making a filter for it....

Yes, I had a look and that is why I'll be happy with a 2500K, the 2600K is out of my price class.

I've been thinking of putting a fan on the side panel, but haven't done it because of the dust issue. There was a post somewhere on this forum about a company in Cape Town that makes dust filters. I had a look at their site a while ago and the stuff looked very good, as did the prices.

As for the fans I've installed, must say I'm very impressed. Haven't monitored any temps yet, but I can feel a difference. The case stands on the floor next to my desk and I can feel it is much colder, my feet are freezing. :D The air being expelled from the case is really cold. As for the force of the air coming out, I've created my own personal tornado; these fans are pushing a lot of air.

I know, was looking for fans with red LED's for some time and I could not find a single one in 140mm.

Have a look at these:
http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php ... ry_id=3554
http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php ... gory_id=63(These two fans look identical, but if you read the specs you'll see the differences.)

Here are a couple of other options:
http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=ODE5
http://www.take2.co.za/electronics-zalm ... 22610.html(Zalman page does not want to load)

These are the fans that I installed: http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6684 You know what I had to go through to get them working, but in the end I'm very happy. The fans were about R80 each from Prophecy and the cables you suggested I got from Rampage Gaming for R20 each.

i had a look at all those fans already.... i checked taketwo, rampage gaming, prophecy, landmark, comx, sybaratic, zaps online and ngr.....
thers just not much of a range to choose from..... The lian li ones look pretty good but will have to find stock.... i would need to replace 4 140mm fans and 1 120mm fan.... so the issue for me is finding the 140mm red fans....

Bro I could take the 140mm off your hands... I'm not too sure at the moment but obviously we will talk when you get your hands on red fans...

If I get my hands on red fans... The price just to go red is a lil on the steep side... But we will see....need to check for fans a lil more

Getting red fans is very easy, getting them in 140mm is the hard part. It seems you will have to settle on Lian-Li if you want them in 140mm...
