Q6600 OC help!!

Post by R3D »

Eh ive got a Q6600 (newest one "slckr" i think) asus P5N-D

Now i cant get a higher oc than 2.6ghz at 11** FSB.

I want a 3.2 Ghz 1600FSB....

Ive tried upping the volts of the cpu and NB to 1.4 and 1.52.

Now i dont want any hectic volts cause i want to run it 24/7.

Ive got 9700 zalman.

I have reached 3.2Ghz once but 3dmark06 ran only for 3min then BSOD.

any help will be great

In the bios you should see a option called Jumperfree configuration (or something like that) and also see an option where the cpu is controlled automatically no matter what options you choose...

i can't remember what it is called now, but it's there... if that's on, then you can't overclock at all...

yeah i set it to manual overclocking and then set the FSB and ram mhz manually aswell as the voltage of the cpu, ram, nm, sb and pcie
