@mrbean. Sorry that we're bombarding you with questions, but i've got one for you. I'm sure you're farmiliar with the ORAC mod, (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2004/06 ... rt5/1.html) In that mod, the tubing looks SOOO thick and big. He used tygon tubing too. How'd he do that?

Yip, I've followed G-gnome's Orac mod. If I remember correctly, he used 3/8" for GFX cards, and 1/2" for the rest of the system, with very nice hose clamps.

The tubing is thickwall 1/2", which means internal diameter will be already 12.7mm, with total dia (od) around 16mm, which makes for mean-sized tubes.

Plus, the thick walls, and high transparency of the Tygon hose, will create an even better effect, which makes it hard to judge real dia - they always look bigger/thicker than the rest.

Another Q, i see that CPU Waterblock has 3 holes, shouldn't I be getting a Y splitter?

Yeah, you should< Those blocks are for a high flow rate. (Hence the 3 holes)

@Mrbran, where would i get tubing like that? And would it fit on the Maze 4 GPU blocks? I'm ordering 2 of those soon

The block will come with a y-splitter. But, alas, it will be to small, you need to order another one from Dangerden.

And of course you will need to convert your brandnew block from 10mm od to 3/8" id fittings

Tubing can be purchased from Dangerden, afaik you can't buy tygon locally, I have tried. Maybe now, but not a year ago.

For waterblocks, why don't you think of using Swiftech storm (aka Cathar's Block)

Just google swiftech storm, it is the best commercially available block currently. Wish I could get one.....

You will need an additional 3 for the Antarctica. And toolz/skillz to do the mod. It requires some effort.

Rather just get this

If you want to buy everything from 1 place, then the Dangerden RBX will very nicely fit in with your plans, and will be a drop-in fit with your kit.

Just get the y-collector. and 2-fittings for your rad, as the reservoir should come with 3.

Ah, not much more so than the Antarctica.

It will look mean in your system. Really kief.....and perform like a dream. You will be hard pushed to find better watercooling for your system at that pricepoint.

Take note that you can buy for much cheaper, but I hate cheap. Like TT big-kakka, etc.....rather buy once, and not again.

Tubing: Tygon 3603 Tubing 3/8" ID 5/8" OD
Y-Split: Polypropylene "Y"
Fitting: Brass Fittings x 2

Shouldn't I rather get a RAD from them aswell?

If your system will use 1/2" tubing, then yes, select 1/4" NPT thread by 1/2" fittings and y-collector.

If you use 3/8" select the 3/8" versions.

edit: Get the Coolwave rad from Arthur. It is an excellent performer, beats the BIX-series, and for that price!.......

And about modding, you are allways talking about those 3mm countersunk allen cap screws with matching goodies. Where do you get them, at hardware shops?
