Soz posted on previous page. Im looking for tubing with an ID of 12mm right that would be 1/2" ? .

Doesnt sound like a bad idea dae.

Edit .

Just picked up 4m of reinforced 12mm ID garden hose. Hope it seals properly as it bends really well.

Hey guys, seeing as there are 2 watercooling setup threads, I will post this here too...

I have a failing pump on my kit, did a bit of searching and came across a site that sells the same pumps as some of the WC kits use... Hopefully it helps someone :)

Pasted as off the other page...

I did some research (googling ;) ) and found that the pump is actually a Hydor L20 which is not as according to the manufacturers of the WC kits Specifically designed for PC watercooling but is in actual fact a Marine Aquarium Pump built in Italy... Go figure

There are 3 different models available as well. Either the L20 (700lph, 1.35m head) or the L30 (1200lph, 1.95m head) or the L40 (2800lph, 2.3m head).

Found a local place that sells pumps for just about anything, got hold of an L20 at current prices for R171.

Bonus I think :)

Addies:
http://www.hydor.it/en/products/show/19#tabelle - Pump manufacturer site - spec page for the L series...
http://superpumps.co.za/shop/index.php? ... oc&docId=2 - Superpumps, the local retailer - Contact Us page...
There are doorways I haven`t opened and windows I`ve yet to look through, going forward may not be the answer, maybe I should go back!

A decent setup will cost you at least R2500, but with the current exchange rate, probably closer to 3K. And that'll be for the CPU only.

Ok finished my new install . The hoses were a little tricky to work with but they worked a charm. Will post pics on sunday . Problem is that im now an average of 2C warmer than i was :-(. Seriously considering selling the kit for the price of a thermalright.

Then you've made a mistake somewhere. There's no way in hell your temps will JUMP after installing an Apex Ultra kit.

The fact that it's WARMER in the HAF than it was in the 900 is another indication that you've made a mistake somewhere. The 900 is small and cramped, the HAF isn't.

Reseat the cooler :)

yea , maybe but if its incorrectly seated it indicates that the cooler is poor when working correctly as the temp dif is only 2c. Also my two core temps are only 1C apart . I would assume that this indicates that the cooler is making the same amout of contact to each.

Dude . im running 4ghz at 1.325v . dunno what to expect here but my summer temps are now 53 under load where is my max in winter was 42.

Anyone that can tell me where to buy tubing from for a Zalman Reserator1 V2?

I recently purchased one and need more tubing. Also had a problem getting hold of distilled water.

Thanks

Zombie, distilled water can be found at most hardware stores and any dischem. as for tubing, cut a small length of your current loop and go to mica or builders.

Thanks Firestrm :)

I got some from a local store. The tubing is 1/4", thanks for the help.

Which cooling is a good set up? I had a look at the Danger Den radiators, but which pump can I use with that? And which type of resevior?

I also need a bigger case, I purchased a Raidmax case but now that I got my new card, EVGA GTX 260 :D :D (What a performa of a card), I had to bend(literally) here and there to make it fit. Any advise on that? Also, if I get cooling I need something that has a water block/ cooler for a GTX 260 aswell as for my board.

The board is a Maximus II Formula, getting the NB block is not a problem but the area to the left and above the CPU socket is where the problem comes in. I see that Koolance makes those water blocks.

I'm fairly new to this water cooling thing, but I love modding. My q6600 runs between 30-40 degrees on the cooling, OC to 3.51GHz playing Crysis. I think that's pretty good for a Zalman cooling system :?

Firestrm, what speeds you running your q6600 at?

I can't get more than 3.51ghz. Good temps but when I go higher it starts to dislike me :?

Any advise?

Zombie is getting 24 idle. that means his room is cooled cause my indoor temps hasn't dropped below 25 his summer. Room temp would be the absolute minimum temps for a watercooled system. Most say that cpu should be about 5 C higher than room at idle.
