Bandwitdth Abuse?

Post by Koko_Lion »

Ok, got problem and I can't figure it out.

Have a laptop connected to ADSL using and ISP is telkom.

At random time, the usage report is downloading gigs and gigs, but nothing is downloading.

I have:

Changed the account password.
Scrapped and had a whole new account created
Disabled the wireless
Removed Norton antivirus
Ran virus scans with Avast and Malwarebytes
Created a temporary new account with a differant ISP
Ran a packet sniffer to find anything odd transmitting, nothing.

Any ideas, is Telkom being sharks and just allocating data when actually nothing is being downloaded?

Any other apps I can try that checks which ports are active?

You could try that program to monitor your local PC usage. Build up your own history and take it to Telkom?
