Loadshedding...Pointless!!!
If i was going to clean my pool at 4pm...id still do it anyway at 6pm...its not like much is being shedded...same applies to me charging my phone or laptop, if i wanted to do it at 4pm ,. im still gonna do it at 6pm.
It such a sore sight to see how many businesses are losing out at loadshedding times and to see the malls in darkness.

@gdi - nope, between you and me its actually silverplated plastic....couldnt afford the metal one. Not to mention the rustproofing addon support that costs a fortune.

Im due for loadshedding at 8pm...laptop battery 100% for standby duties. Tablet battery 100%. Cellphone battery 91%, it should be 100% in time for 8pm.

Always good to be prepared for load shedding. I think that the point for load shedding is that it brings the combined total strain for the grid from the entire country down. Making it more manageable for eskom.

Eg. SA needs 10mw but eskom can only produce 8. So to prevent the system overload the cut 10% of the country so that the demand on grid is only 8mw. Numbers are not accurate BTW.

Not saying I agree with the system. Personally I think better management and planning would have prevented load shedding and now if they cut the illegally connected and cut the exports we would have enough electricity for all who pay for it.
