Year End Functions 2014

Post by GDI_Lord »

So, what are you or your companies doing for year end functions this year?

We're having two, possibly three, year end functions:
  1. The IT department is having one today at the Benoni Sailing Club*. Braaiing and volleyball!
  2. Head office (us) is having its year end braai in the car park on the 27th of November.
  3. The dev team and the IM/BI team might be having our own private function sometime this month as well.

Got a dull day lined up at Rodisio. No partners invited, so just looking at the same old faces. During office hours but not made up my mind if that's a positive or negative

Dinner evening at a place by the V&A Waterfront.

As per below it could be interesting...

Dress code: ‘Over the Top’ – anything from your tuxedo and ball gown to your favourite Super Hero costume.

Dinner evening at the V&A Waterfront sounds fantastic. Can I come? Can you fly me down?

Nice guys!

Today's the year end function at Head Office. We have a big tent setup here in the parking lot next to one of the buildings, which is a good thing, considering that it's threatening to rain.

Also, a band with a name that sounds like a body corporate will be playing. Something Hill, or Lonehill Estate or something like that. I hope they don't suck! (Translation: I hope that they play music that's in line with my tastes, never mind everybody else's ;- )

Edit:
Nevermind, they sound pretty cool! I am hearting what I'm hearing! :-)

That was a pretty nice year end function! :-)

The cars in the parking lot are a bit thin on the ground this morning... ;-)

We had our year end function this weekend. I ended up breaking a long run of sobriety. Tequila amnesia...

Anyfart, there was a camera floating around and evidently it was a bender. There was one particular image portraying me giving our 80 year old boss a lap dance, which I have no recollection of.. reminded me of why I stopped drinking to begin with. Eish.
