I don't think this has ever happened but I am taking a shot at it...
As you know, RRF and I are engaged and are looking for wedding venues. We have searched and do have a few places in mind but I want to find out from you if you have any venues in mind, places that you have been to or heard of.
60- 70 guests
Gauteng, Limpopo or KZN
and preferably bushveld types
Any names will be a help and we thank you for your time and help

Re: Wedding Venues
Ok, we were on a serious budget at the time, so our place is probably waaaay to downmarket and 'common' for a gal like you, but we hired out the hockey clubhouse at the randburg sports grounds on Malibongwe for a whole R1000. They even included chairs and tables, so we just hired table cloths and chair covers and had a buffet and lamb on the spit. Then used another venue for the pretty pictures.

Re: Wedding Venues
Granny Mouse Country House! I will get some pics posted this evening hopefully .
Or
Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse!
/Both these places will likely kill your pocket/budget . I will ask Pam, what suggestions she has since she was the venue hunter for our wedding .

The Natal Midlands is really beautiful. If Granny Mouse is too expensive, try googling for others in the area.Anakha56 wrote:Granny Mouse Country House! I will get some pics posted this evening hopefully .

Re: Wedding Venues
Thanks all.. really appreciate it...
I have googled many times but I was hoping from hearing about your experiences at other venues...
Went to go visit a place just inside the border of Gauteng, called Blue Moonlight Lodge... looks good just not what we really want...
Going to visit another venue but only beginning of March and they are already booked full till next year but it's a lot cheaper is some ways and they have a sound system which the other place don't have and you actually get exclusive use of the lodge during the weekend... will see when we get there and there is a possibility that the wedding will be moved then to early next year... from what my dad saw on the internet between the 2 places he likes the second one more, more relaxed atmosphere... winding down next to the bonfires...
Kuthuba Lodge near Nylstroom...
