Steam is having a awesome sale on at the moment.
  • Unreal deal pack - 66% off until 3rd Jan
Codemasters Complete Pack - 25% Off
So much more available :). Just one problem not enough money and definitely not enough bandwidth :(.

Yeah that the problem with our country. Even if they give away things for free we still pay 5x the retail in the end.

I bought this and all of them are finished downloading if you wanna buy it and make a plan to get the backup files from me? Unreal Tournament 3 is ***king awesome! :D Though I did initially buy this to get reacquainted with Aida, I mean Unreal 2.

Otherwise why don't more people play UT3? :(

I also bought The Witcher Enhanced Edition for about $13, the problem is the install size is about 13-14Gb so I'd hate to think how big the download must be, does anyone have this? :?

Yeah, the Steam Specials were first posted in the Local Steam Content Server thread, because WebAfrica are getting a FreeZone Steam Content Server. They say they're literally a few days away from launching the server in the free zone, and once that launches --> I'm going to take advantage of these sales

Why not just take advantage now and download them when you can?

Steam is going to bankrupt us.

I was a bit disappointed with the discount on L4D2. *sigh*

If you buy them now when will you download them? Thats the big problem. Like I said in the webafrica post unless you absolutely force someone to do something we wont see it happen.

Hey there guys. I'm new to the online scene. Just got an ADSL connection. Could you tell me how steam works exactly. How do you determine the download size of the files before buying? From the few games I looked up, they are all pretty close or over the amount I would pay at the store. So what is the point? Am I missing something here?

You can't. You pay for the game and then find out afterwards what the size is.

In SA, it's not really beneficial unless you have an uncapped account. I buy games from steam every now and then with the Weekend deals and so on.

WebAfrica is busy setting up a local content server that will be free, so you can pay for the games and download them here, which is great.

i got it... how far did you play through?... i've only dabbled so far, and it's proven to be quite fun. nowhere near as unforgiving as the original, but still...

after reading up on why the game was hobbled, i can understand why the dev needs to be razed and have their memory purged from history, but it's not entirely un-moddable...

Well i actually finished the game, a while back, just a short while after it launched, the thing that actually annoys me the most is you die way too quickly, and the constant walking, which can go on forever without any action happening, I'm sorry the graphics etc is good, but the game play is just not for me
