Why would you need that - I thought you were a local?

Nope not tried it - seen it but then I am a little suspect of technology that wants to control my life

The question I have to ask is, how is it not working? It works well enough for me in what I want it to do.

Well, I'm not sure how these 'cards' work, when you see them, if they pop up of only show when you open the app, etc.
Also, not working as in, had to clear google search data, uninstall app updates, opt in again and then update the app again.

A local what? South African?
I'm one of those that don't need it, but realise I can have it and therefore want it :P

Me neither - Now when we travel we don't have to use our data bundles

Oh and I tether my Tablet to my laptop and use AlwaysOn - works brilliantly!

I have never had to clear search data, uninstall app updates and redo the opt in to get it working... But then again I am reinstalling my ROM every month just about so that maybe why ;).

The cards have a number of ways of working and it is up to you to define what ones you want and how they work. So lets go with weather. If you go to Google Now --> Settings --> Google Now --> Weather --> You can select when the card appears (mine is morning & evening), which location to give (mine is home, work, current location & travel), units (Celsius or Fahrenheit) and then the priority of the card, mine is low.

Traffic is on although I dont use it because Durban has no traffic data while Cape Town & JHB do. Appointment is on. Travel has all options enabled but in all honestly I could switch them all off. Flights & Public Transport off. Places on. Sport all the way down to News is off. Photo, Events, Birthdays, Research topics, Activity Summary all on and Real Estate off.

Traffic is nice because while I was on my home PC I went onto Maps found the place I was looking for and while I was leaving I received a notification asking if I needed directions. Really handy and creepy at the same time...

Man, that S4 looks soooooo............ BORING! wow, that is one boring looking phone. If you looked in the dictionary for the word "boring", there would be a picture of the Samsung S4. I would rather watch paint dry than look at that phone. did I ever tell you about the time I was looking at the S4 and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......

Boring is right, more of the same. Meh. New HTC One is so much nicer looking...

That Samsung event was freakin cringe worthy, man alive.

My point is, they didn't spend much time on the design. It almost exactly like the S3, which wasn't a looker to begin with.

I get that. The thing is, in an environment where all phones are the same feature-wise, the aesthetics are all that's left to distinguish one from the other. So why not go for the pretty one?

Because I like how this one works. It suites me - my personality. I have played with other android phones and they just don't feel right to me. Same reason I chose Canon when I bought a camera - not because it is better or prettier - but because it fits me better.
