Laptop advise

Post by Nerevar »

Been a while since I've been on the forum but I need some advise :)

I'm looking for a "gaming" laptop, but also just for general use.

I need something that is strong enough for Dota 2 ( I go to LAN's like once a month )

At least 8GB of RAM, for VM use now and then,

I have 7500 or so to spend but I'm struggling to find a balance between a decent processor/RAM/GPU, also not too sure about the performance of all the built in CPU/GPU's available at the moment as reviews seems to give very different results,

thanks 8)

So a quick search on two local sites shows that for your price range the GPU you will get is a Intel HD 4000 and judging from a quick read around you will be playing games on a medium setting with that GPU although that will also depend on how much RAM & processor speed that is available. So it should play DOTA 2 fine however I have never played that particular game so I can't say for certain. Also the majority of laptops that I could find in your range are all sold with a single 4GB RAM and in some cases you will have to go out of budget for 8GB. SO yeah tough choices ahead ;). My search results are below, if anyone else finds anything better post away :).
