Re: Upgrade opions
If you'd like to try AMD then Phenom over Athlon is really a no brainer.

Re: Upgrade opions
You might want to to wait until at least Wednesday to get an idea of whether AMD's upcoming FX chip is worth considering.

Re: Upgrade opions
I would go with the Phenom II over an Athlon. But as SP said rather wait and see if AMD's new FX range will be any good.......but it will cost you more though

Re: Upgrade opions
I think the Bulldozers are gona be too expensive, but let's wait and see pricing. Otherwise I'd take the Phenom without a doubt. AMD always makes a better budget rig IMO in terms of bang for buck

Re: Upgrade opions
I reckon you'll probably have to wait too long for the Bulldozers to arrive in SA and for the price to drop to fit your budget. Phenom is your best bet.

Re: Upgrade opions
Jeah i am considering Amd alot y not make my system a complete amd setup xD by the way i figured out my huge problem is at 1600 by 900 60 hz Ati cards get huge problems, putting it on 75 hz and 1400 by 900 the problem is fixed completly . Just gota get used to the resolution now no difference in games quality wise.

Re: Upgrade opions
Maybe the new AMD A8 range is worth a look. They have been released and look pretty good so far.
