Graphics card upgrade

What is the best I can get for no more than R1400. For hard core gaming :D

Well at that price you can get either the HD5770 or the GTS450. But rather spend a little more and get a GTX460 :wink:

At that price I wouldn't call it hardcore:) but you would get by

I think you can get lucky and find a 460gtx somewhere. Else it looks like a 5770 for you.

And I can promise you I can still find it cheaper.

Senile A 5770 ATI card should not put you back more than R750 or they are ripping you off. For what you have you can go 6700 series even but I would still opt for dishing out an extre R200 and getting an nVidia card :P but that is just me

I have one too, not a bad card for the price and it can actually do DX11 gaming :)

Really R750 for a 5770. what world do you live in :? The average price of one of those it around R1400, unless it is second hand.

I will then go for the 550GTX as per RuadRauFlessa's suggestion.

Theoretically its a bit faster than my current card but with 47% less power consumption. And Directx 11 which will also make me feel better theoretically :D
