I remember seeing someone posting a link to calculate power usage. I cant find the post now and i need that link! So if someone would be so kind as to re-post the link i wud be most grateful :)

Thrall posted some of these, maybe this one as well. As this comes up so very often I am going to make it a sticky. I will see about moving, combining all the PSU issues into one.

I am running a 450w Peak PSU.... but this thingie says I need 499w. How serious is a 50w shortage?

It is serious, it will result in your comp maybe switching off at random or worse may burn out, although unlikely.

Mine says 272W. For my current setup. My PSU at the moment is about 350W. So I have more than enough head room

I just checked what I would need for a future setup. 277W. That is not bad. I wont need a new PSU :D

What are your specs? I highly doubt you're drawing 500watts, unless you have two high end SLI cards or a overclocked rig with a 8800GTX.

WOW. For my system it says I need a min of 413W, my 300W generic PSU was handlin my system just fine though. I now have a 500W Aopen PSU so it so its all good...untill I upgrade :twisted:

All you guys with high requirements are not thinking here... :p

You have a SINGLE PROCESSOR, and not a dual processor. The list of processors list the dualcore processors just fine... :p
