Re: All things iPad (and, more generally, Apple)

@GW I think Apple is trolling you now  Follow the link for further reading. Oh and at the link is a patent win for a keyboard design :P. Ok, now this, this is some major cattle waste. Nothing in the description of the application gives any sort of detail. "The goggle system may include an...

* though to be fair, I have no idea how other manufacturers make their curved touch screens, and this one also seems quite specific. So what we have here might actually be a valid application for once.

Re: Good Coffee?

We have had a nespresso machine at home for 2 years now. Love it. I am also partial to Jacobs, when I get a hankering for a mug of instant. Lastly, my boss is a coffee nut. We have a bean to cup machine in our office and I can tell you the coffee from that is so amazing, I don't even use sugar or mi...

Invictus

I thought this might be appropriate. Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Bey...

Re: Gauteng (GFIP) Trolls

So that all sounds complicated. But the CPA clearly states that the consumer must pay the indicated price. So If they come with some BS story I will just refer them to the board showing a non-registered user rate of R 3.40. That should buy me even more time.

I thought this too, but no. The board for tagged users was 100m down the road and stated R1.20 (or something like that).

Right. So on the boards on the highway it clearly shows R3.40 at the gantry I pass. But checking on the sanral site it says R5.51. who do I believe?

Re: Gauteng (GFIP) Trolls

But no matter what they choose to call it, it is a bill. Which you are legally obliged to pay. IF and when you receive it. ;) I have a question. For some reason I have the idea in my head, that according to SA laws, if you do not receive a bill withing 7 days, you are not obliged to pay it. Is this...

Re: Gauteng (GFIP) Trolls

I will not buy a tag.

I pass 2 gantries every day. 1 on the way to work, and 1 on the return trip. I can avoid both with not much change to my time spent driving.

So this morning, I passed the 1 gantry, and from now on will be using the alternative routes.

I eagerly await the bill for R3.40.
