Re: ultimate motorbikes

Well, the Pirelli Angel seems to hold out on my mate's Z1000 quite nicely.

He's only got the rear tyre on, but says he's never had as much grip than what he has now with the Pirelli.

Yes. Learner's license on a motorcycle. (Don't worry about the bike not being legal - it's a KLR600.)

Re: ultimate motorbikes

Why not consider the Pirelli Angel?

I'm not sure how much for both front and rear, but apparently they a) grip like demons and b) have a long life on them.

My one mate used to use Bridgestone Battleax and installed the Pirelli's and was shocked at how much grip he gained. He rides a 2006 Z1000.

Re: KZN South Coast meet - December 16th 2011

I still need a location xD

Also, I have a major oil-leak on my bike, so I'll need to hitch a ride down from PMB if possible, please.

(Also, does anyone know if you're allowed to ride on the highway with only a learner's license?)

Re: KZN South Coast meet - December 16th 2011

No problem, but my bike is an old girl (1984 KLR600) and is prone to overheating - so I want to plan my maintenance, rest stops and route in advance - as to not get caught with my pants down, so to speak.

Re: KZN South Coast meet - December 16th 2011

I also need a location ASAP, please. There's a lot of planning on my behalf (stops, fuel, etc. etc.) as I'll be heading down on my bike.

Re: AMD vs. Intel

Bulldozer was supposed to be their answer to Intel, but that fell flat. Anyone who wants to get 2011 and OC it is going to have to fork out as the cheapest unlocked CPU will retail for about R 5,000 - R 6,000. Ouch. Add on four to eight 4 GB sticks of DDR 3 running @ 2,400 MHz (which seems to be th...

Re: The Official Android Thread, V2.0

Well....Fiddlesticks. My LED flash is no longer working on my HTC wildfire... Started about a month ago where I noticed the light wasn't as bright as it used to be, and had a blue-ish tint to it. Last night (when I need it most) the thing just packs up completely. I turn on the torch and absolutely ...

Re: VPN Woes - Help needed urgently

Okay - don't worry. We solved it.

I'm not sure what went wrong, and I don't understand the science behind it, but we had to manually set up our IPs for the VPN Clients, with the exception that we set the DNS IP to our router on this side.

VPN Woes - [SOLVED]

Hiya everyone. I've been struggling for the better part of 3 hours now to set up a VPN. A client wants a Windows 7 PC at her location to host a VPN Server, so that two laptops (off site) can connect to it to share files between two PCs. Now, we've forward all the ports. We've set up the incoming con...

Re: Blackberry Thread...

There is, of course, a compromise.

Get a phone with both a touchscreen and a hardware keyboard?

Personally, I'd much prefer a slide-out keyboard on my phone, as quite often the virtual one takes up too much screen space (This argument is probably being swayed by the fact that I use a HTC WildFire)

Re: The Official Android Thread, V2.0

Okay, I've just installed Cyanogen ROM on my Wildfire and sadly, it comes with the stock dialer. The HTC Dialer, I admit, is very well designed and suited my needs exactly. I've installed Dialer One just to see how that goes and if I like it. Are there any other dialers that you guys can recommend t...

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish

I sometimes wonder what goes through people's minds... A client has just brought in their PC, complaining that it 'Freezes' just after log in. What do I find? It has (wait for it) AVG, Avast and Avira installed. Yes, THREE antiviruses installed at once, plus his one RAM stick has come loose (With th...
